TTT #223| Upcoming 2022 Romance Books

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is a Love Freebie. With Valentine’s Day being next week we get to choose our own way to interpret this topic. So I’m going to talk about 10 upcoming romances releasing in 2022. It’s one of my favorite genres, so let’s see some I’m really looking forward to!

By Any Other Name – Lauren Kate (March 1st)

Okay, this book had me sold after I saw enemies-to-lovers. It got even better when I saw this romance would be between an author and and an editor. Books that have to do with books or anything about them are something I need in my life. The romance just makes it even better.

If You Ask Me – Libby Hubscher (March 8th)

If You Ask Me sounds like a book that’s going to make me laugh and leave a smile on my face. Our main character writes an advice column and uses this to our her frustrations when she finds out her boyfriend cheated on her. A column goes viral and this definitely changes her life. Add a hot firefighter to the mix and I think things will be getting interesting.

Go Hex Yourself – Jessica Clare (April 19th)

I want to read Go Hex Yourself for just the cover alone, but the plot sounds like it’s right up my alley as well. It’s funny to see the main character wanted to work for her favorite card game, but ends up applying to be an actual magical familiar. I love when there are elements of magic in a romance, so I’m curious to see how this plays out.

Love, Hate & Clickbait – Liz Bowery (April 26th)

Fake dating, a photo that goes viral, enemies to lovers… need I say more? I haven’t read a romance that takes place during a presidential campaign since Red, White & Royal Blue. So it’s definitely time for another one.

Book Lovers – Emily Henry (May 3rd)

Again, a book that has to do with books. That’s all I need to know to add it to my list. Emily Henry is an author I’ve read before an really enjoyed her book. This one has an editor and agent as main characters. I can’t wait to see how this all plays out.

By the Book – Jasmine Guillory (May 3rd)

A Beauty in the Beast retelling is something that always catches my attention. I love seeing how authors take this classic story and give it a twist. Our main character hopes to finally get the promotion she’s been waiting for by getting a high-profile author to finally turn in his manuscript. We all know it’s not going to be that easy.

Never Been Kissed – Timothy Janovsky (May 3rd)

Our main character has never been kissed and wants that to be changed. He ends up sending e-mails to all the boys he loved before coming out. We know that’s going to be interesting. I also love the fact this book also involves a drive-in that may be shut down. I loved seeing movies at the drive-in.

Set On You – Amy Lea (May 10th)

A curvy fitness influencer has built her career shattering stereotypes and won’t let anyone stop her. Especially not a smug firefighter who starts competing with her for gym domination. When she meets him in a different setting she sees a different side of this guy. When a photo of them goes viral their relationship is tested. I need this book in my life!

As Seen On TV – Meredith Schorr (June 7th)

Our main character is done dating in the big city. All romances show that love can be found in small towns, so that’s where she goes when she discovers a story that could also help her career as a journalist. I have a feeling this isn’t going to go as planned.

Husband Material – Alexis Hall (August 2nd)

Okay, so I haven’t read Boyfriend Material yet (I should be changing that this month), but I needed to add Husband Material to this list. Pressure is on when a lot of people Luc and Oliver know start to get married. Does that mean they need to get married too? I’m curious to see how both books play out.
