Tag | The Spring Book Tag

It’s been quite a while since I’ve done a book tag. Honestly, I just haven’t seen any that have really grabbed my attention. That changed recently though when Kerri from Kerri McBookNerd tagged me in The Spring Book Tag. She doesn’t know who created this tag, but it seems like so much fun I have to give it a try. Keep on reading to find out more!

What’s on your Spring TBR list?

I’m mostly a mood reader, but I do always have some books I hope to read. I did a top ten tuesday of my Spring TBR. Of course I want to read all of these, but I also would love to read Tokyo Ever After and Sadie on a Plate.

If someone asked you for a Spring release recommendation, what would it be?

So many amazing books have released this Spring. How can I only choose a couple? Gallant by VE Schwab. This was a dark, but magical read. And okay, so technically Delilah Green Doesn’t Care released at the end of winter, but I have to recommend that one!

Which two books coming out before summer are you eagerly awaiting?

May is a month that is going to be filled with books that truly sound amazing! The ones I’m looking forward to the most are: See You Yesterday, I Kissed Shara Wheeler, and You, Me, and Our Heartstrings.

Which character would make a great Easter bunny?

Oh, this is a hard questions. I have to choose Caleb from Zodiac Academy. After certain events I could also see him as an Easter Bunny, haha.

What book makes you think of Spring?

I recently read The Spanish Love Deception and it made me think of Spring. Just the description of the weather while they’re in Spain definitely had me longing for the nice Spring weather.

Name a cover with flowers on it.

The Confidence of Wildflowers has a lot of flowers all over the cover. I’ve been seeing this book everywhere on Facebook, bookstagram, and BookTok. Apparently it’s pretty intense, but I have to say I’m intrigued!

Which two characters would you go on an Easter egg hunt with?

The first character that comes to mind if Tink from A Wicked Trilogy by Jennifer L. Armentrout. He’s so much fun I would definitely want an Easter egg hunt with him. And I honestly think he’d be so present we wouldn’t need anyone else, haha.

What is your favorite Spring bookish activity?

I love going for walks when everything starts blooming. My allergies may hate it, but I love how pretty everything is. It’s just nice being outside and seeing everything so colorful.

Which book did you enjoy that has a Spring-like cover?

With You All the Way has a very colorful cover that is in between Spring-like and Summer-like. I still really enjoyed it though, so thought it was worth the mention. Cynthia Hand writes contemporary books that I tend to enjoy!

Who is your favorite contemporary author?

How can you ask me to choose just one favorite contemporary authors?!? It’s one of my favorite genres, so I have quite a few. So instead of naming my all time favorite, I’ll talk about one of my favorites I’m currently reading. Lynn Painter is such a great author. I loved Better Than the Movies and I read half of Mr. Wrong Number last night! So good!
