We’ve seen The Diviners around in the bookish community and have been wanting to read it forever. It was time to choose a new buddyread, so we decided to give this series a go! What did we think? Did it live up to our expectations? Keep on reading to find out!
I’ve said it before, but this year I really want to starting reading more books out of my comfort zone. Or really just books outside of the usual fantasy and contemporary books that I normally read. There’s nothing wrong with those, but I’ve noticed I really enjoy other genres as well. So I decided to give A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder a go and I wasn’t disappointed! Keep on reading for my full review.
Not too long ago I reviewed the book Deadly First Day and instantly became a fan! The sequel, Lethal Queen Bee, recently released. The author was really sweet and sent me an e-arc to read and review! A big thanks to her for that! Today I want to tell you what I thought of the next book in the Embassy Academy series.
We wanted to do another bookish meme on Wednesday and after doing Can’t Wait Wednesday a few times we decided that would be a fun one to bring around more often! About twice a month you’ll see this meme on our blog.
Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.
At the moment both Candyce and I are participating in the O.W.L.’s readathon and one of the prompts was to read a book with a white cover. After coming across the audiobook of Sadie on Scribd I decided to finally pick that one up. And today I’ll share my thoughts with you all!

Books that take place at school or at boarding schools are something I love to read. If you add a little mystery and romance, I’ll definitely give it a chance. Deadly First Day, the first book in the Embassy Academy series, checks off all of those boxes. With the sequel releasing later this month, I thought it was the perfect time to review Deadly First Day!
After finally reading and loving This Is Our Story I was in the mood to read another mystery with a hunting component in it. And I just happened to own S.T.A.G.S. With a tagline like this; Nine students. Three bloodsports. One deadly weekend. I knew it would be exactly what I wanted to read. Did I love it as much as This Is Our Story? Or was is a bit of a disappointment? Keep on reading and find out!

October is the perfect month to read thrillers, so I decided I wanted to share a thriller review with you all today. Recently I listened to the audiobook off The Turn of the Key by Ruth Ware. I listened to it in two days and only stopped in between because I had to be social for a couple of hours haha. Because it’s a thriller, I would recommend not reading the synopsis as they usually reveal a little bit too much in my opinion. Let’s get into it! If you’ve been following our blog, you know that I’m also a moderator in the Facebook group, TBR and Beyond. Each month we do group reads and this month we are discussing #Murdertrending. I’ve been trying to step out of my comfort zone with books and this one is definitely out there. I have been really curious about it though, so I gave it a try. Today I want to tell you about what I thought about this book!
A fun part of blgging is having authors contact you if you want to read and review their books. Recently I had an author contact me if I wanted to read her debut book Through Her Eyes. After reading the blurb I was very intrigued. Through Her Eyes is Sophie Fahy’s debut book and releases today! Let’s take a look at what I thought of this YA mystery filled with suspense!
WARNING Through Her Eyes is an intense book that does have some trigger warnings I feel I should tell you about: sexual assault, assault and parental abuse.
