Earlier today I posted my review for One Cruel Night, the prequel to Cruel Money. Once I read the prequel, I knew this was going to be a series I couldn’t put down. Did I still think that after reading this book? Let’s find out!

It’s not even the end of the first month of the year and I’ve already discovered a few new authors. One of these authors is Kate Meader. Today her newest book, Illegally Yours, is out now. Thanks to the publisher and author, I received an ARC to read and review.
The Birds, The Bees & You and Me is a story that spoke to me after reading the summary. When I was in high school, we only had abstinence only sex-ed. I think it’s important that teenagers know how to protect themselves. Unfortunately, not all teenagers are educated at home either. This book is important. It teaches about how to protect yourselves, standing up for what you want, how important consent is and also has a really sweet love story!

The Princess of Baker Street is a book like I’ve never read before. I have read quite a few books, but nothing as beautifully hearbreaking as this one. If you’ve followed the blog, you know I have read a few books by Freya Barker. Her newest book, Burning for Autumn, was released January 8th. The author was kind enough to provide me with an ARC to read and review.
I’m normally not one to give warnings, but in Burning for Autumn an animal is harmed. You don’t read it in complete detail, but it is a part of the story. Even I thought it was a bit hard to read!

To be honest, before I had the chance to review this book, I had never heard of Kelly Jamieson. Today her newest book, Game On, is available to read! Game On is the eighth book in the Aces Hockey series and can be read as a standalone.

It’s not December anymore, but this book was too good not to share. One Day in December isn’t only about Christmas, so this is still the perfect book if you’re looking for a winter read. As a big fan of romances and romantic comedies, Happy New You sounded like the book for me. An author that I have read from before and a group of ten other authors got together and wrote this story. Thanks to the authors for providing me with an ARC, so I can read and review.

Victoria Schwab is a very talented writer and I have loved everything I’ve read by her so far. The stories she creates are very unique. City of Ghosts is the first book in a middle grade series (I don’t know how many books we’re getting in total). This was such a fast read, I finished it in one day! Isabelle posted a review of this one a while ago as well, you can find that here!
The Kingmaker Chronicles is a trilogy I’m a big fan of. Amanda Bouchet is an amazing author, so after reading those I was excited to read she was working on a new book. Nightchaser was released at the beginning of the month. I was so excited when I got my ARC on Netgalley, so thanks to Netgalley and the publisher I got to read and review!
