I’ve said this recently, but lately the darker books with some twists and turns have really been my favorite. Contagion is a book I’ve had on my shelf for quite some time. The How and the Why is one that caught my attention when it released and I finally got around to reading it. We’re both a big fan of The Lady Janies trilogy and have already read and reviewed My Lady Jane and My Plain Jane. After a long wait, we both finally bought My Calamity Jane! This was an anticipated release for both of us, so we read it almost right away. Today we want to tell you what we thought of the third and final book in this trilogy.
Besides being a big fan of contemporary books, I love watching romantic comedies. What can I say, I love the grand gestures and the happily ever afters! The Falling in Love Montage seemed like a book I just needed to read for that reason. I’m really happy I picked this one up and want to talk about this book today. Retellings are a lot of fun and have been very popular, especially when it comes to Beauty and the Beast. Hunted is one of those retellings and released in 2017. I’ve had it on my shelf since then and I finally picked it up to join a group read a friend set up. Today I want to tell you what I thought of this book!
Serpent & Dove has been a highly anticipated release for a ton of people! I’ve seen so many raving reviews before the publication date and I couldn’t wait to read it. Storytel had the audiobook so I was able to listen to it pretty soon after it was released. When I started reading Defy Me I realized I had forgotten a lot about Restore Me haha. So a friend told me I should really read the novella Shadow Me first and I’m so happy I did. I don’t have that much to say about either story though, so I thought I would do another round of mini reviews.
