Review | Serpent & Dove – Shelby Mahurin

Serpent & Dove has been a highly anticipated release for a ton of people! I’ve seen so many raving reviews before the publication date and I couldn’t wait to read it. Storytel had the audiobook so I was able to listen to it pretty soon after it was released. This was marketed as a witch and witch-hunter love story and even though I’m not a romance lover I was intrigued! Let’s get into it! Continue reading “Review | Serpent & Dove – Shelby Mahurin”

The Babysitters Coven is a book I’ve been looking forward to since I read the blurb and saw the cover. I adored City of Ghosts by Victoria Schwab last year, so naturally I was looking forward to Tunnel of Bones a lot! Review| These Witches Don’t Burn – Isabel Sterling

These Witches Don’t Burn is a book that I’ve been looking forward to since I read about it releasing. Seeing how this book is about witches and takes place in Salem, MA I was going to save it until Halloween. Mini Reviews | Shadow Me & Defy Me – Tahereh Mafi

When I started reading Defy Me I realized I had forgotten a lot about Restore Me haha. So a friend told me I should really read the novella Shadow Me first and I’m so happy I did. I don’t have that much to say about either story though, so I thought I would do another round of mini reviews.
since these are book 4,5 & 5 in the Shatter Me series, there will be spoilers for the earlier books!

Review| White Hot Kiss – Jennifer L. Armentrout

Jennifer L. Armentrout is one of my favorite authors and I’ve read almost all of her books. About five years ago I read The Dark Elements, but only had them as e-books. I personally didn’t like the covers at all! This year they all got a cover change before the first book in the spin-off series was released.

I knew I needed these covers and felt that a reread was a good start before diving into the spin-off. White Hot Kiss is the first book in this trilogy and today I want to tell you what I thought about this book!

Review | Reign of the Fallen – Sarah Glenn Marsh

Last year I got a copy of Reign of the Fallen and really planned on reading it right away. But after reading a couple of pages I somehow put it down in favor of something else. Last month I finally picked it back up and I’m happy I did! So let’s talk about my thoughts on it today.
Candyce already did a review for this one last year, you can find it here

Buddy Review| Tithe – Holly Black

We saw that Faerieathon was being organized and were very curious. We’ve both wanted to read The Cruel Prince, so why not start from the beginning with the readathon? On top of that the new and improved The Modern Faerie Tales was released and it’s so pretty. So far Tithe is the only one we’ve gotten around to, so today we want to share our thoughts about this book!
