Review| One Cruel Night – K.A. Linde

Last year I discovered the author K.A. Linde and loved everything I read by her. This year she’s releasing a new series, Cruel. The first book Cruel Money is out today and my review will be posted this afternoon as a part of the blog tour.

K.A. Linde surprised us all though when she released the novella, One Cruel Night, for free. One Cruel Night is the prequel for this series. I decided to read this one before diving in to my ARC of Cruel Money, so I wanted to share my review of this before the book this afternoon.

It’s not even the end of the first month of the year and I’ve already discovered a few new authors. One of these authors is Kate Meader. Today her newest book, Illegally Yours, is out now. Thanks to the publisher and author, I received an ARC to read and review.

Review| Burning for Autumn – Freya Barker

If you’ve followed the blog, you know I have read a few books by Freya Barker. Her newest book, Burning for Autumn, was released January 8th. The author was kind enough to provide me with an ARC to read and review.

I’m normally not one to give warnings, but in Burning for Autumn an animal is harmed. You don’t read it in complete detail, but it is a part of the story. Even I thought it was a bit hard to read!

Review | Just for Clicks – Kara McDowell

Just for Clicks by Kara McDowell was a pretty highly anticipated release for me, the synopsis sounded really interesting. And while I don’t read a lot of contemporary, this sounded like the kind of contemporary story I would enjoy. So when I got the chance to read this through Netgalley I was super excited! If you’re interested in finding out my thoughts on the book, keep on reading! Continue reading “Review | Just for Clicks – Kara McDowell”

Review | Game On – Kelly Jamieson

To be honest, before I had the chance to review this book, I had never heard of Kelly Jamieson. Today her newest book, Game On, is available to read! Game On is the eighth book in the Aces Hockey series and can be read as a standalone.

I want to thank the author and publisher for allowing me to read and review. I have found a new author I want to read more from. Keep reading for my review for Game On.

Review | One Day in December – Josie Silver

It’s not December anymore, but this book was too good not to share. One Day in December isn’t only about Christmas, so this is still the perfect book if you’re looking for a winter read. This book was very touching and I couldn’t put it down. Keep on reading to read the rest of my review for One Day in December!

Review| Happy New You – Collected Authors

As a big fan of romances and romantic comedies, Happy New You sounded like the book for me. An author that I have read from before and a group of ten other authors got together and wrote this story. Thanks to the authors for providing me with an ARC, so I can read and review.

Eleven authors is a lot to put in the title of the review, but they definitely all deserve credit for this amazing story. The following authors wrote this book: Brenda St. John Brown, Cassie-Ann L. Miller, Ceri Grenelle, Elizabeth Lynx, Jami Albright, Julia Wolf, Laura Lee, Marika Ray, Mya Martin, Nikky Kaye and Sylvie Stewart.

Review| City of Ghosts – Victoria Schwab

Victoria Schwab is a very talented writer and I have loved everything I’ve read by her so far. The stories she creates are very unique. City of Ghosts is the first book in a middle grade series (I don’t know how many books we’re getting in total). This was such a fast read, I finished it in one day! Isabelle posted a review of this one a while ago as well, you can find that here!

Review| Nightchaser – Amanda Bouchet

The Kingmaker Chronicles is a trilogy I’m a big fan of. Amanda Bouchet is an amazing author, so after reading those I was excited to read she was working on a new book. Nightchaser was released at the beginning of the month. I was so excited when I got my ARC on Netgalley, so thanks to Netgalley and the publisher I got to read and review!

Mini Reviews | The Murderbot Diaries – Martha Wells

I first heard about The Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells in one of Emily Fox’s booktube videos and thought it sounded pretty interesting. And then I found out all four of them were available on Scribd. So I binge-listened to them super quickly. They are novellas so they’re all quite short and you will go through them in no time at all. There will be a full length Murderbot novel in 2020 and I’m very excited about that. But for now, let’s see what I thought about the four novellas.  Continue reading “Mini Reviews | The Murderbot Diaries – Martha Wells”
