We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is Most Anticipated Books Releasing in the First Half of 2024. I have a feeling that 2024 is going to be another year with so many amazing releases. We already talked about our anticipated January releases, so I’ll be focusing on February through June. Let’s take a look!
Bride – Ali Hazelwood (February 6th)
I’ve loved all of Ali Hazelwood’s contemporary romances and I’ve actually mentioned Bride in a few posts already. Bride is Ali’s first paranormal romance. A dangerous alliance between a Vampyre bride and an Alpha Werewolf. I don’t know much more than that yet.
At First Spite – Olivia Dade (February 13th)
I loved Spoiler Alert by Olivia Dade and I’m excited that she’s giving us another series starting with At First Spite. I actually don’t know too much about this one, but I’m excited to read something new by this author.
This Could Be Us – Kennedy Ryan (March 5th)
Before I Let Go was such an amazing story and I’m excited that the next book is almost here. We met Soledad then and I knew there was going to be more to her story. Knowing Kennedy Ryan This Could Be Us is going to be another emotional read.
Where Sleeping Girls Lie – Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé (March 19th)
This author wrote Ace of Spades and that book was truly amazing! Where Sleeping Girls Lie is another YA mystery that takes place in one of my favorite settings: a boarding school. Our main character’s roommate disappears and there seems to be a lot of secrets.
Funny Story – Emily Henry (April 23rd)
Emily Henry is an autobuy author for me and Funny Story went on my want to read list as soon as it was announced. Our main character gets involved with her ex-fiancees, new fiancees ex. I know that sounds confusing, but I’m excited to read this one.
Off With Their Heads – Zoe Hana Mikuta (April 23rd)
Off with Their Heads has such a stunning cover! This book is a Korean-inspired Alice in Wonderland retelling. I have a feeling this is going to be an amazing ride!
The Honey Witch – Sydney J. Shields (May 14th)
No one can fall in love with the Honey Witch, but this seems to change when Lottie arrives on the island. Lottie doesn’t believe in magic, but Marigold is determined to prove what’s real. We all know when feelings start to develop something is going to happen to work against them.
Savor It – Tarah Dewitt (May 21st)
Another stunning cover that had me wanting to read this book right away. Savor It is a small town rom-com that I’m really excited about. I still haven’t read anything by Tarah Dewitt, but that will change this year.
Barely Even Friends – Mae Bennett (June 4th)
We can never have enough Beauty and the Beast retelling and Barely Even Friends is one I’m really excited about reading. She’s a contractor and he’s a grumpy caretaker. This is going to be fun!
Not in Love – Ali Hazelwood (June 11th)
At the beginning of the year we get a paranormal romance by Ali Hazelwood and in June we get another contemporary romance. A forbidden, secret affair? Sign me up!
