We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is Books I Hope Santa Brings. I’ll have to admit I don’t have a ton of books on my wishlist this year! There are a couple but I don’t think it’ll be 10. I do think I can come up with some other books I would love for Santa to bring me. So let’s dive in!
1. Haikyu 17 – Haruichi Furudate
This manga series will be a part of my wishlists for a long time I think haha. I hope to get a couple of them so I always have a few on my TBR for when I’m really in the mood. There is still a lot of the series left for me so I’ll keep collecting these for a while longer.
2. Heartstopper vol. 5 – Alice Oseman
I adore this series and it’s been awhile since I got a new volume for it. This one was released last week and while it was supposed to be the last one in the series it looks like we’ll be getting a little bit more time exploring.
3. The Ashes and the Star-Cursed King – Carissa Broadbent
I loved the first book in this series and I have been really excited to pick up this sequel. There were some good twists (and some predictable one) and I thought the world was really interesting.
4. Tress of the Emerald Sea – Brandon Sanderson
I don’t know that much about this book but I want to own it nevertheless. It’s a Brandon Sanderson book and it’s part of the Cosmere universe and that’s all I needed to know. I’m slowly making my way through all of Brandon’s books.
5. Spice Road – Maiya Ibrahim
This one has been on my TBR for about a year now so it would be the perfect time to find a copy underneath the Christmas tree. Spice Road is set in an Arabian-inspired land and it looks like there will be a lot of magic.
6. House of Flame and Shadow – Sarah J. Maas
This book doesn’t release until January 30th but I would love a Christmas miracle. To have this book in my hands by Christmas would be amazing. I would also have more time to dive right in and keep on reading. After that twist in book 2 I need to know what happens next.
7. Fence vol. 6 – C.S. Pacat & Johanna the Mad
I adore this graphic novel series a lot and I’m really excited for this newest release. It comes out January 16th so it’s getting really close but I would love love love it if a copy made it’s way underneath my Christmas tree.
8. The Familiar – Leigh Bardugo
I adore Leigh Bardugo so waiting until April 9th is pretty cruel. Surely Santa can make a small change and forward the book my way :). I’m really excited about this one and I can’t wait to see how Leigh handles a setting like this.
9. My Salty Mary – Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton & Jodie Meadows
I really like this series and this combination of authors. So far all of the Jane and Mary books have been big success’ and I am super excited for this third book in the Mary series. Hopefully we’ll get another titular character after this one again!
10. The Break-Up Pact – Emma Lord
While this isn’t neccesarily my most favorite genre out of all of them but I am really excited for this one. I like the synopsis a lot and I can totally see myself enjoying this one. Sometimes you’re in the mood for a book like this and I hope to own this one by then.
These are 10 books I hope Santa brings. The first 5 are realistic, the other 5 are only happening with a Christmas miracle. But who knows ;). Which books do you hope Santa brings you? Let me know in the comments!
I have Heartstopper on my list as well today. Fingers crossed we’ll both get it. 😉
