We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is a Holiday freebie. I don’t read a lot of Holiday books but when I do, I love to read them around Christmas. So today I wanted to share a couple of the Holiday books I want to read! Let’s jump in.
1.In a Holidaze – Christina Lauren
This is probably the want I want to read the most! It’s a Groundhog Day kind of story and I just love that so so much. Repeating the same day over and over hoping for a different outcome is so interesting to me. And I’ve read a Christina Lauren book before that I really enjoyed so I have high hopes.
2. A Boy Called Christmas – Matt Haig
This one sounds really cute! I have a ton of Matt Haig books on my list. He writes a lot of sci-fi I would love to read but this MG story is definitely on the list as well. Hopefully I will finally read some of his book in 2021.
3. The Christmasaurus – Tom Fletcher
Another cute MG story! And this one has a dragon!! Everyone seems to love this magical Christmas read and I would love to read it as well. It does have almost 400 pages but I’m expecting it to be a quick read nevertheless.
4. Hercule Poirot’s Christmas – Agatha Christie
I love mysteries and I have a ton of Agatha Christies at home from my mom and grandmother. This one isn’t among them I think but I would love to read a Christmas mystery. It’s something completely different than all the cute stories and that’s exactly what I need every now and then.
5. The Polar Express – Chris van Allsburg
I’ve never seen the movie or read the book and I think I have to change that at some point. This is a very beloved story and I would love to see what all the hype is about!
6. Little Women – Louisa May Alcott
I didn’t know this was a Christmas read to be honest! The movie that released last year looked really good and I desperately want to read it but first I have to read the book haha. I love this cover and it’s on my wishlist. Hopefully I’ll get my hands on it soon.
7. Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares – Rachel Cohn & David Levithan
This wasn’t really on my radar until the Netflix show. I love the look of the show but of course I would love to read the book first. Candyce enjoyed it and that is good enough for me ;). It’s also a pretty thin book, less than 300 pages so you know it’ll be quick.
8. Carols and Chaos – Cindy Anstey
Historical fiction has been totally back on my radar since I read My Lady Jane so I couldn’t not include a historical fiction Christmas read. I don’t know too much about the story but I do know it has a counterfeiting scheme and that sounds wonderful.
9. My True Love Gave to Me – Stephanie Perkins
Recently I’m enjoying anthologies more and more! Some of my favorite authors worked on this one so I would love to read their stories. I think I’ll love some of the stories and probably hate some of the others but isn’t that always the case with an anthology?
10. My New Crush Gave to Me – Shani Petroff
To be honest, this just sounds like a really fun and cute read! I think it’ll be a pretty fast one as well. And it’s another one Candyce enjoyed so that’s always good!
And these are 10 Holiday reads I would like to read! Have you read any of them? And which one do you have on your list to read? Let me know down below!

Great list. Not much for reading these types of books, but the covers are fantastic. https://pmprescott.blogspot.com/2020/12/ttt-120820.html
I love that you included a mystery holiday book too! As mystery/thriller/horror are some of my favorite things. I should really get on with it and finally read some Agatha Christie. Can I really claim to read mystery otherwise? Haha

Happy to hear that! I might try and pick up Hercule Poirot’s Christmas soon, it sounds wonderful.
I’m not much of a ‘Holiday’ book reader either, but when you can throw in an Agatha Christie novel, all’s right with me!
Haha I totally agree! I can’t wait to read that one <3
I’m not really a holiday book kind of person, most Christmas books are romances and I’m just not a big fan of romance in books, I prefer movies for that.

I totally agree. It’s just not something I usually gravitate towards. Last night I watched the Netflix adaptation of Dash & Lily and that was actually amazing!
I loved In A Holizdaze and Little Women! Great post.
Thank you! I just started In a Holidaze and I’m really enjoying it <3
In a Holidaze is adorable. I hope you get to read it this season.
I actually just started it and I’m really enjoying it so far. Exactly what I was hoping for!
In a Holidaze is one I want to read, too. And I love Matt Haig…so any book by him! Great list. 🙂

I just started In a Holidaze and so far it’s really entertaining!
I haven’t read too many of these, but you’re in for a treat with The Polar Express. The illustrations are beautiful.
Thank you, that’s good to hear!
Oh! You’ve read My Lady Jane? Did you like it? It’s on my TBR too, but I’ve been on the fence whether it will ruin Jane Eyre for me… Merry TTT!

My Lady Jane is SO SO SO good!! I would highly recommend it. My Plain Jane is the Jane Eyre retelling. I personally enjoyed it a lot but I haven’t read Jane Eyre so I can’t say how it compares.
Some of these books look adorable! I loved The Polar Express as a kid.
