We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is Book Titles that Would Make Great Song Titles. I really like this topic, but I only managed to find 2 titles haha. So I decided to pick an older topic I really wanted to do. I went with Books I Loved But Never Reviewed, so let’s jump in.
Elantris – Brandon Sanderson
Candyce and I read Elantris at the start of the year and we planned on doing a buddy review for it. However, we never did haha. I really liked this book and I planned on reading more Brandon Sanderson this year. Unfortunately I also failed that goal, although I do have a couple of weeks of the year left haha.
A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder – Holly Jackson
I actually thought I already reviewed this one, but apparently not! Candyce did review it before me so I probably wanted to wait a little bit and then totally forgot about it. At the moment I’m reading the second book and I will definitely write a review about that one haha.
Frost Like Night – Sara Raasch
Candyce and I did a buddy read for part of this series and it was so enjoyable. Sure, these aren’t the best YA fantasy books ever, but I did really enjoy reading them. The characters are likeable and the world is interesting. I really want to read more Sara Raasch books!
Voyager – Diana Gabaldon
I really like the Outlander books and try to make my way through them so I can finally watch the tv show. Apparently I didn’t review any of them though! I’ll admit these are pretty hard to review but I might do one after all.
Small Spaces – Katherine Arden
I loved Small Spaces and I was convinced I reviewed it. But this was also one Candyce reviewed already and I wanted to wait a bit. At this point I think we are a bit better about that but I still haven’t reviewed Small Spaces. This is one of the scariest MG books I ever read.
The Poppy War – R.F. Kuang
I loved the Poppy War so much! Why didn’t I review it? I got my copy signed by R.F. Kuang and listened to her speak about the Poppy War. She was a really nice person and I was so happy to meet her. I have the sequel but I still haven’t read it yet… Hopefully soon though!
Queens of Geek – Jen Wilde
This was such a quick, fun and cute read! I really enjoyed this story and especially the setting. There need to be more books set at cons. However, while I did enjoy it somehow I didn’t write a review about it. Maybe because it’s pretty short?
Adorkable – Cookie O’Gorman
I read Adorkable years ago but did a reread last year when I found it on one of my audiobook subscription services. That would’ve been the perfect time to do a review since I still enjoyed it so much. This is another fast, fun and fluffy read and I just had a really good time <3.
Daughter of Smoke & Bone – Laini Taylor
I love this series so much (just not enough to actually finish it…. haha). Candyce and I buddy read this one as well, as did we do the second book. We started the third book but never finished.. And apparently we also never wrote a review for this amazing book.
Renegades – Marissa Meyer
I like Marissa Meyer’s books a lot and I don’t know why I haven’t picked up the sequel to Renegades yet. This book was so good and the ending had me screaming. I really wanted to read the sequel as soon as it came out but I just didn’t. And this also has me wondering why I didn’t write a review, this is a great book to review!
