TTT #157 | Books with Single Word Titles (I Want to Read)

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Non-Bookish Hobbies, but I’m not feeling that one this week. So I decided to look back at older topics and saw Books with Single Word Titles. I added the that I want to read part to it. Let’s see what books are on my list!

Skyhunter – Marie Lu

Skyhunter is actually a book I recently added to my shelf! The cover is stunning and a few friends of mine have read this book and really enjoyed it. I haven’t read much by Marie Lu yet, but it’s something I want to change.

Spellbreaker – Charlie N. Holmberg

This book actually only released yesterday, but it sounds really good. I love books that include magic, especially when it seems to be forbidden. Also, there’s just something about this cover that I really love!

Raybearer – Jordan Ifueko

Raybearer is a book I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about. this book. It also has two amazing covers. I recently gave this one to Isabelle for our blog birthday boxes. This book seems to be one that once you pick it up, you won’t be able to stop reading.

Thunderhead – Neal Shusterman

I read Scythe quite awhile ago, but I still have to read Thunderhead. At first I decided not to read the sequel right away, because so many readers said you really want the third book when finishing this one. I own all three now, so I may just have to start all over again and finish this trilogy in one go.

Ink – Alice Broadway

I have to say this isn’t a trilogy I hear much about, but the covers are stunning. My boyfriend bought all three during a trip to the bookstore last year and I still really want to read them. The idea of everything being immortalized on your skin is a really interesting concept.

Skyward – Brandon Sanderson

Brandon Sanderson doesn’t write small books and Skyward continues with that trend. Another book I keep saying I want and need to read, but just haven’t gotten around to yet. I’ve heard amazing things about this one though.

Fable – Adrienne Young

It’s funny, I own two books by this author and got an e-arc of this one on Netgalley, but haven’t read anything by her yet. They all sound amazing and I know I’ll love them. This one will be on my TBR in December or January I think. The sequel, Namesake, releases in March, so I have a little time to catch up.

Starbreaker – Amanda Bouchet

I loved the first book of this series and am always amazed at the book covers this author has. They’re all stunning. The first book was packed with adventure and lots of humor. I’m hoping this one continues that way.

Enchantee – Gita Trelease

I believe this book recently had a name change and will no longer fit this week’s topic, but my copy still has the single word title, haha. Historical fiction and fantasy mixed in one is something that definitely interests me. I know this book got a lot of attention right before it released, but I don’t hear many people talk about it. Hopefully I end up loving it!

Verity – Colleen Hoover

I’ve read quite a few Colleen Hoover books and they’ve all made me cry, haha. Verity is a lot different from what I’ve heard and really dark. There have been so many amazing reviews though that I really want to read to read it! Hopefully soon.

I actually have to say finding ten books with single word titles was harder than I expected! Especially if you see how many books have “the” in the title (that I counted as a word in this case). What single word titles do you want to read? Also, feel free to leave the links to your TTT down below. I’d love to see your posts!

  1. I think the only one on this list that I’ve read is Ink and I really loved it. I bought it for the beautiful cover as well, but enjoyed the story a lot also.

  2. Great list, I love the theme. I hadn’t thought about The even, but yeah, I would also count that as a word and thus making it not that easy. From your list I would love to read Spellbreaker! I hope you enjoy all these books~
