TTT #159 | Super Long Book Titles

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is characters I’d name a pet after. That one just didn’t really speak to me when I sat down to write this post, so I decided to choose the topic Super Long Book Titles. Let’s take a look and see if I’m able to find ten book titles that are really long!

The Earth, My Butt and Other Big Round Things – Carolyn Mackler

I just recently listened to the audiobook of this one on Storytel. To be honest I still don’t know what I think of it either. The Earth, My Butt and Other Big Round Things had aspects I liked, but there were also a lot of problematic issues in here.

The Second-Best Haunted Hotel on Mercer Street – Cory Putman Oakes

Doesn’t this middle grade book look cute? I only recently learned about it when watching booktube. I’ll have to remember this one, because it would be a perfect Halloween read I think. Definitely one for next year’s list.

Zoe Rosenthal is Not Lawful Good – Nancy Werlin

I just love the title of this book, because I automatically think of Dungeons & Dragons, haha. I’m definitely nerdy and it seems like our main character has fandoms. I love when books have that element, so I’ll definitely keep an eye out for this one.

Riley Thorn and the Dead Guy Next Door – Lucy Score

A few friends of mine love this author, but I have yet to give a book by Lucy Score a go. The first thing that caught my attention for this one was the title. It sounds like it’s going to be one to make me laugh. I think the perfect type of book when I need something light and funny!

Hani and Ishu’s Guide to Fake Dating – Adiba Jaigirdar

I loved The Henna Wars and was so excited when the author announced another book. Also, I’m still loving all of the illustrated covers. I love the fake dating trope, so I know this is going to be amazing.

A Lady’s Guide to Mischief and Mayhem – Manda Collins

I’ve said it a few times lately that I want to read more historical fiction and A Lady’s Guide to Mischief and Mayhem seems to fit that perfectly. A fun and flirty historical rom-com? Yes, please!

You Should See Me in a Crown – Leah Johnson

I read You Should See Me in a Crown earlier this year and just absolutely loved it. It has everything I love in a contemporary and I couldn’t recommend it more. This book was hitting me in all the feels.

The Ruthless Lady’s Guide to Wizardry – C.M. Waggoner

Another historical fiction that sounds amazing. And I don’t read about female bodyguards that often, so I have to say I’m pretty curious. C.M. Waggoner is a new to me author, but I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for this book releasing in January 2021.

Rosemary and the Witches of Pendle Hill – Samantha Giles

I’m such a fan of middle grade covers. I wish young adult and even adult books had the same amazing covers. I have a feeling Rosemary and the Witches of Pendle Hill is going to be a fun and magical adventure.

Vampires  Never Get Old: Tales with a Fresh Bite – Edited by Zoraida Cordova & Natalie C. Parker

At the moment I’m typing this, I’m in the middle of reading this anthology. I try to read a story here and there. An anthology is always interesting, because short stories can bit a hit or miss with me. I’m definitely enjoying the different takes on vampires though. My review will be up after I finish this story!

Okay, so they all aren’t SUPER long, but they’re definitely longer than a lot of titles I see. It’s funny, because I’ve only read two of these books. Others are either 2021 releases or ones that are out, but I haven’t read yet. What are your favorite books with long titles? Also, feel free to leave the link to your TTT down below!
