5 On My TBR | Black Covers

A couple of weeks ago we started doing the 5 On My TBR bookish meme and it was a lot of fun, so we want to bring this meme to the blog more regularly! This bookish meme is hosted by E from Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. This week’s prompt is Black Covers. I actually have a lot of books with black covers and a ton of those I really want to read as soon as possible haha. Let’s see which ones I picked.

1.Five Dark Fates – Kendare Blake

I love this series so so much and I can’t believe I still haven’t read this last book. All I can come up with is that I just don’t want this series to end and that I’m pretty scared for the ending. I read about 45% of the book already and enjoyed it a lot. But I have a feeling about where the book is heading and I know it might break my heart….

2. Vassa in the Night – Sarah Porter

This one has been on my TBR for years! I really wanted to read it when I first got it but forgot about it soon after. Recently I saw some people talk about how weird this book was and that they DNF’d it. This actually made me want to pick it up haha. So maybe I will try it soon!

3. The Black Witch – Laurie Forest

Candyce loves this book and I’ve seen a lot more positive reviews. I think this might be a book I will really enjoy and I have been planning on reading it for months now haha. Hopefully I will pick it up soon so I can binge the rest of the series as well.

4. These Rebel Waves – Sara Raasch

I read the first chapter for the Try A Chapter Tag and really enjoyed it. Sara Raasch is an enjoyable author and I would like to read more books by her. I’ve seen both positive and negative reviews for this one but for now my hopes are pretty high.

5. Sleeping Giants – Sylvain Neuvel

This year I read my first Sylvain Neuvel book, The Test, and I LOVED it. After finishing that novella I wanted to pick this one up right away but it just didn’t happen. I’ve seen great reviews for it though and I want to read more sci-fi so maybe soon!

These are 5 books I have waiting on my shelves that also have black covers. This was actually harder than I thought! While I have a lot of books with black spines, they don’t all have actual black covers and I also read most of them already haha. But I managed to pick 5 interesting books I hope to read soon. Have you read any of my picks? Which one should I read first? Let me know down below!
