Review | S.T.A.G.S – M.A. Bennett

After finally reading and loving This Is Our Story I was in the mood to read another mystery with a hunting component in it. And I just happened to own S.T.A.G.S. With a tagline like this; Nine students. Three bloodsports. One deadly weekend. I knew it would be exactly what I wanted to read. Did I love it as much as This Is Our Story? Or was is a bit of a disappointment? Keep on reading and find out!

Buddy Review | The Cruel Prince – Holly Black

One of the most hyped books from the last two years is probably The Cruel Prince by Holly Black. We both owned the first book but didn’t pick it up right away. And then the hype grew and grew and grew, and we were sure there was no way this book would live up to the expectations we had by then. So we waited and we waited and we waited, haha. Last week Melanie from TBR and Beyond proposed to do a buddyread for the whole series with any members of the group who were interested. Of course we jumped on this opportunity and finally dived into this series. We tried to keep our expectations low so we wouldn’t be disappointed. Let’s see if it turned out to be a disappointment or a new favorite! Continue reading “Buddy Review | The Cruel Prince – Holly Black”

Review | Serpent & Dove – Shelby Mahurin

Serpent & Dove has been a highly anticipated release for a ton of people! I’ve seen so many raving reviews before the publication date and I couldn’t wait to read it. Storytel had the audiobook so I was able to listen to it pretty soon after it was released. This was marketed as a witch and witch-hunter love story and even though I’m not a romance lover I was intrigued! Let’s get into it! Continue reading “Review | Serpent & Dove – Shelby Mahurin”

Buddy Review | Killing November – Adriana Mather

We both read Killing November by Adriana Mather recently so it was the perfect time for another buddy review. Adriana Mather did a live chat in the TBR and Beyond group and that made for a good excuse to pick this book up. We both had it on our radar and wanted to read it, and because of the live chat we did pretty soon after the release at the end of m=March. Let’s see what we thought about this story. Review | Reign of the Fallen – Sarah Glenn Marsh

Last year I got a copy of Reign of the Fallen and really planned on reading it right away. But after reading a couple of pages I somehow put it down in favor of something else. Last month I finally picked it back up and I’m happy I did! So let’s talk about my thoughts on it today.
Candyce already did a review for this one last year, you can find it here

Blog Tour | Nexus – Sasha Alsberg & Lindsay Cummings

Last year I listened to the audiobook of Zenith and contrary to a lot of people, I thought it was quite an enjoyable read! I was surprised at the twists, liked almost all characters, and enjoyed the world building. Sure it wasn’t the best book out there, but it was definitely enjoyable! So when I saw the blog tour for Nexus (the sequel to Zenith) was being announced I really wanted to participate. And luckily, I got the chance do that just that. A big thank you to the Fantastic Flying Book club and the publisher for providing me with not only an eARC, but also a physical copy for Instagram! There is a giveaway going on, on Instagram so please check that out. For now, let’s talk about Nexus!

Review | The Princess and the Fangirl – Ashley Poston

I read and loved Geekerella almost two years ago and was very happy when a companion novel was announced. Geekerella is set at ExcelsiCon and The Princess and the Fangirl is set at that same con, but a year later. As I said, I really enjoyed Geekerella by Ashley Poston. So I was expecting The Princess and the Fangirl to be something similar. A fun, geeky, cute, romance-y YA book. Did I find what I was looking for in this book? Keep on reading to find out! Blog tour – Last Girl Lied To – Laurie Elizabeth Flynn

I’m always on the lookout for a good YA mystery thriller so when I saw the announcement for this blogtour I was very curious. Last Girl Lied To by Laurie Elizabeth Flynn releases next week and the blog tour started yesterday. Thanks to the publisher and The Fantastic Flying Book Club I got to read an eArc of this one. Today I have my review for you all, so let’s see if it’s a new favorite. Continue reading “Blog tour – Last Girl Lied To – Laurie Elizabeth Flynn”
