We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is Books on My Winter 2022-2023 To-Read List. Candyce already did this topic last week, so today is going to be a part 2. I don’t really make TBR’s but I do have a bunch of books I would love to read soon. So let’s take a look!
1. The Agathas – Kathleen Glasgow & Liz Lawson

I love a good YA mystery, especially this time of year! And this one sounds like a lot of fun and with a lot of Agatha Christie references. The reviews are pretty decent and there will be a second book in the series in May 2023 so I should read this first book soon.
2. Blessed Monsters – Emily A. Duncan

I loved the first book in this series so much and after the ending of book 2 I couldn’t wait for the final one. But somehow I still haven’t read it… It’s been about a year and a half since the release so I think it’s about time I pick this one up.
3. The Cousins – Karin McManus

I totally forgot I actually already started reading this one haha. This is definitely one I want to finish reading this winter. It’s another YA mystery, one of my favorite genres as you might know. Karen McManus books have followed a certain pattern and I’m curious to see if this one is any different.
4. The Bone Shard Daughter – Andrea Stewart

Ever since this book was released I knew I wanted to read it. This sounds like it will be right up my alley and the reviews are very positive. I’ve got this one almost 2 years ago for my birthday and it’s time to get it started.
5. The Atlas Six – Olivie Blake

This book has been hyped and was all over booktok and bookstagram. It’s also the last book I added to my physical TBR. And I would love to read it this winter. I can’t wait to see if the hype is real.
6. Never Ever Getting Back Together – Sophie Gonzales

I loved the Sophie Gonzales books I’ve read so far and I have very high hopes for this one. A dating show where all the contestants are exes of the bachelor, one of the main characters is looking for revenge, another is open to the possibility of love. And in the end they might find love elsewhere…. I have high hopes!
7. Five Survive – Holly Jackson

I started reading this eARC last week, I haven’t read much yet as I’ve been busy and tired haha. But I do want to make sure I’ve read this one this winter. I love Holly Jackson’s previous books and I have high hopes for this one.
8. Sign Here – Claudia Lux

I’ve been so excited to read this one! This sounds like my kind of book and I think it will be super funny. I have an eARC and read the first chapter. It starts off great and I can’t wait to actually dive into this one.
9. City of Nightmares – Rebecca Schaeffer

I was debating whether I would include this one, I do have this eARC but I was planning on reading the other Rebecca Schaeffer book I own first. Not Even Bones sounds amazing but so does this one so I might just start with this one before the release date.
10. Spice Road – Maiya Ibrahim

I love that I got an eARC for this one. This fantasy is set in an Arabian-inspired land and has tea magic. You heard me, tea magic. Is there anything more awesome? I can’t wait to dive into this first instalment of a new series.

I really liked The Agathas but the Agatha Christie link was a bit tenuous. I didn’t know about the second book, so thanks for highlighting that!
Great list! Im actually currently listening to the audiobook for Sign Here. It’s very enjoyable and funny so far 🙂 Hope you love it too!

I hope to get to The Agathas soon. I borrowed it from the library but had to return it before being able to read it. 😦
