We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is a Thankful freebie but I’m not really feeling that to be honest. So I decided to go with an old topic and I picked Books I Was SO EXCITED to Get, But Still Haven’t Read. This is always a good topic for me as I’ve done this with many books haha. Let’s jump in!

1. Empire of the Vampire – Jay Kristoff

This was one my only preorders last year and I still haven’t read it. It’s a really big book so I’m a bit intimidated…. Also, I wanted to finish the Nevernight series first, maybe I should do that soon haha.

2. The Bone Shard Daughter – Andrea Stewart

This one sounds like a book I would love a lot! And the final book in the series just got a cover reveal so it’s seems like this is the perfect time to finally jump in so I can catch up before that final book is released.

3. Call Down the Hawk – Maggie Stiefvater

I adore the Raven Cycle series and I love everything that has to do with. Since Ronan is one of my favorites, I was extremely excited about this release… But I still haven’t read it, hopefully soon though!

4. Bloodwitch – Susan Dennard

I loved the first two books in this series and was super excited for this release. By now the fourth book is also released but I do have a little while until we get the final book. Hopefully I can catch up before than…

5.  The Devouring Gray – Christine Lynn Herman

This sounds like another book I would love! I have read a cowritten duology by Christinne Lynn Herman and loved it. So my expectations are pretty high and I hope to read it soon.

6. Five Dark Fates – Kendare Blake

Why is this one still on lists like this?!?!?! I can’t believe I still haven’t read this one haha. The series is one of my favorites and I just need to finish it but I guess I’m scared for the ending.

7. Give the Dark My Love – Beth Revis

This is a darker read I think and I do love that. So I got super excited about this book. But have I read it yet? No I haven’t. Do I have a good reason? No I do not…

8. Space Opera – Catherynne M. Valente

This title already sounds cool haha. And the synopsis sounds like it’s right up my alley as well. I do enjoy sci-fi novels and have been wanting to read more of them. Maybe this one should be my next one.

9. Quests for Glory – Soman Chainani

I adore the main series for this one and was super excited to get more books. With the movie just coming out I should jump back in. I loved being back in this world through that movie so this is definitely the time to do it.

10. Jade City – Fonda Lee

This is another one that sounds like I would enjoy it a lot. There are great reviews and the series is completed by now. If I like it as much as I think I will, I can immediately pick up the rest of the series, which is a comfort to know!
