WWW Wednesday #27

It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!

So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What did you recently finish?

Witcha Gonna Do – Avery Flynn

Like I said in my last WWW Wednesday post, Witcha Gonna Do was an enjoyable read. For me the ending was just a bit rushed/easy and I would’ve like just a bit more about the magic. All in all, this was definitely a cute read and the characters were fun.

Talk Santa to Me – Linda Urban

Talk Santa to me was a fast holiday read, but wasn’t completely what I was expecting. I enjoyed the family aspect, dealing with grief, and the Santa magic. At times it fell just a little flat for me and I was a bit bored.

Problem Child – Heather Long

KC was an interesting character, but nowhere near a typical rockstar. I loved how down to earth she was and just wanted a little normal experience. The romance in this book had some ups and downs and it’s clear the author is setting up for future books. I definitely need to know where this is going to go.

What are you currently reading?

So This is Christmas – Jenny Holiday

I can’t say much about So This Is Christmas yet, because I’ve only read a few chapters. So far I’m intrigued and want to continue reading. I hope I end up loving this one as much as I love its cover.

Icebreaker – Hannah Grace

I was a little hesitant to start Icebreaker. This book has had a lot of hype and some mixed reviews. The start was a little rough for me, but with an hour and a half left in the audiobook I’ve really come to enjoy these characters.

Tangled in Tinsel – Trilina Pucci

The title is what caught my eye on this one. Our main character gets snowed in with the four men who work together and have hired her to decorate their houses/offices. Let’s say things get a bit spicy. Samantha is a fun character and a bit awkward and that makes this book even more fun.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Brutal Prince – Sophie Lark

Sophie Lark is an author I’ve been wanting to read something by since the beginning of the year. One of my bookclubs chose to read this one this week, so I decided to give it a go! I haven’t read many mafia romances, so I’m intrigued.

The Mistletoe Bet – Maren Moore

The Mistletoe Bet is the monthly book for a romance book club I’m in online. This is only 131 pages, so it shouldn’t take me that long to read! Our main character doesn’t like Christmas and her childhood crush wants to change her mind. I hope I love this one, because it sounds amazing.

Recursion – Blake Crouch

Next month I’ll be joining my very first book club that meets in person. They mostly read sci-fi and fantasy and will be meeting once a month. The first read I’ll be joining is Recursion. Blake Crouch is an author I’ve heard many great things about and this book sounds interesting. An epidemic that drives people mad by giving them memories of a life they’ve never lived. I’m curious to see how this plays out!

So that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week! What are you reading? Or have you read anything recently everyone needs to know about? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
