TTT #204 | Books on My Fall 2021 TBR part 2

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is a freebie so I decided to go with Books on My Fall 2021 TBR just like Candyce did last week. I haven’t been reading that much but I hope this will get me excited to pick some books up!

1&2.Death Note Black Edition vol IV & V – Tsugumi Ohba

I’m very happy that I finally got my copy of Death Note vol IV so now I can go right ahead and read both of these. Since I read vol 3 I have been looking forward to reading these as the story got me hooked again. I just really want to know what happens next, and I can’t wait to finally finish a series.

3. The Eye of the World – Robert Jordan

I’ve had this book for quite a while now but I never picked it up. With the tv show coming up sooner and sooner I really want to read this book. And it’s a pretty big one so I should get started soon haha. I have to book on my nightstand so I think it will happen any day now.

4. Ninth House – Leigh Bardugo

Candyce mentioned she picked this one up and that gave me a nudge as well. I did start reading it a bit, but I’m still in the first chapter so I haven’t read much yet haha. This one has such mixed reviews and I’m very excited to see where I fall. It also seems like a very autumnal read so I can’t wait.

5. As Good As Dead – Holly Jackson

I adore this series so much! These books are amazing YA mystery/thrillers and I’m just sure I will love this one as well. It’s a pretty big book but I think I will fly through it since the first 2 (and a half haha) had very compelling mysteries.

6. The Last Graduate – Naomi Novik

I adored A Deadly Education, and with that ending I was so excited for this sequel. While I was very happy to get an eARC, I did get it quite late so I wasn’t able to read it before it was released. Now I do want to read it soon and I’m pretty sure I will enjoy it a lot.

7. The Coldest Touch – Isabel Sterling

This is one of my newest eARC’s, the synopsis sounded wonderful. And it also sounds like it will be a great fall book. I think the paranormal part of the book will be very interesting and it seems like we will also get a cute budding relationship.

8. Only a Monster – Vanessa Len

I love that title! It gets me excited for the book right away. This is part of the synopsis; She’ll have to embrace her own monstrousness if she is to save herself, and her family. Because in this story . . .
. . . she is not the hero.
Does that not get everybody excited?! I know I can’t wait to pick it up.

9. These Violent Delights – Chloe Gong

I already read part of this book and I really want to continue soon. It was definitely enjoyable and I think it will only get better. The world is interesting and the vibe fits the upcoming fall weather haha.

10. Year of the Reaper – Makiia Lucier

Another title I really enjoy! The synopsis also sounds interesting, if not a bit confusing. But maybe that’s just because I’m tired haha. I couldn’t really tell you what this is about but I see some key words I usually enjoy. Hopefully it’s as good as I think it will be!

  1. Only A Monster looks and sounds amazing! I’ll definitely be adding it to my list!

I started and dropped The Eye of the World twice when I was a teen, since it just bored me with its politics and world-building. Maybe I’ll give it another try as an adult…with access to audiobooks… Good luck!

  2. I had kind of mixed feelings about Ninth House, I loved the idea and the setting, but it was super slow to get going. As Good As Dead is on my TBR, but I have to read Good Girl, Bad Blood first.
