TTT #164 | Books I Hope Santa Brings

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Books I Hope Santa Brings. Candyce and I already did our Christmas wish lists. So I decided to give this one a little twist! I’m going to share 10 books I wish Santa could magically grant me ;). Let’s dive in!

1.My  Contrary Mary – Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton & Jodi Meadows

The Jane books were so much fun! I adored all three and I was so incredibly happy when it was announced that we are getting at least 3 more collaborations from these authors in the from of My … Mary books. I’m sure these will be equally fun and I can’t wait to read the first one. It’s also amazing that this one takes place in the My Lady Jane world.

2. Six of Crows #3 – Leigh Bardugo

I know Leigh said there would be another Six of Crows book down the line and it might take years. But I would love love love it if it was time for this book. I love the Six of Crows duology a lot and I can’t wait to read Rule of Wolves which will conclude ‘everything’ I believe. But I just want to read about the rest of my favourites as well!

3. Threads of Power – V.E. Schwab

As with SoC#3 this one might take awhile. Although I do think this one won’t take as long. Victoria mentioned this book (and series) multiple times and it might release in 2021, probably 2022 though! I knew we were getting something when I was reading A Conjuring of Light because there was a clear backdoor for a spin off. And I couldn’t be happier about it!

4. Empire of the Vampire – Jay Kristoff

Jay Kristoff has become a favorite author of mine! I still have quite a lot of his books to read but everything I read so far was amazing. And I am positive Empire of the Vampire will be absolutely amazing as well. It sounds brutal and so cool!

5. Blessed Monsters – Emily A. Duncan

I read eARC’s of the first two books in this series and I would love to get an eARC for this last instalment as well. These characters have become favourites of mine and I’m very invested in their fate. I have no idea where the story will go and would love to find out as soon as possible ;).

6. Rule of Wolves – Leigh Bardugo

Sorry to double up on Leigh Bardugo but I can’t wait to get my hands on Rule of Wolves. This is the book that releases the first from this whole list and I’m very excited. Nikolai has always been my favorite in this world and I really enjoyed the first book in this duology.

7. Hometown Antihero #3 – Amber Lynn Natusch

The first two books in the Hometown Antihero series were great! Amber was inspired by Veronica Mars and you might know that VM is one of my absolute favorite tv show. So of course I wanted to read this series and it turned out I love it! While there is no release date for book 3 yet, I’m already thinking about it <3.

8. The Hawthorne Legacy – Jennifer Lynn Barnes

Spoiler alert, The Inheritance Games will definitely make it to my favourite list this year haha. So of course I’m very excited to read the sequel. The first book ended with a big plot twist and I can’t wait to find out what happens next. Jennifer Lynn Barnes is another favorite author of mine and I’m so happy to see this series is doing quite well.

9. Fence vol. 5 – C.S. Pacat

Another one with a (tentative) release date. I adore this graphic novel series so much! The fencing aspect is great but the characters are what make this truly special. I hope we at least hear something about the fifth volume soon!

10. 10 Truths and a Dare – Ashley Elston

Last year 10 Blind Dates was a favorite read of mine and I was so happy to hear we would get a companion novel. I read a mystery by Ashley Elston as well and that was fantastic too. So my expectations are pretty high for this one haha.

These were 10 books I would love to get from Santa. I know I’ll be disappointed but a girl can dream right ;). Are there any books you would love to magically get for Christmas? Let me know in the comments!
