We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is books on my winter TBR! I still can’t believe that it’s almost winter. We’ve said it before, but it’s definitely been a weird year. So let’s take a look at ten books I hope to read this winter!
Dead Voices – Katherine Arden
Small Spaces is one of my favorite middle grade books and I’m so glad I finally have the sequel. The book takes place on a skiing trip, so the winter is the perfect time to read Dead Voices right?!? This seems like the perfect book to read on a cold day under a blanket.
The Roommate – Rosie Danan
At times I really need a book that makes me laugh or puts a smile on my face. I’ve read quite a few reviews and it sounds like The Roommate is going to be amazing! I have a feeling if I sit down I’ll be done with this book in no time.
Scared Little Rabbits – A.V. Geiger
I loved the Follow Me Back duology, so I was excited when A.V. Geiger announced a new book. Scared Little Rabbits sounds like another good book. A few people I know didn’t enjoy this one as much as the other books, but I’m still optimistic.
Chain of Gold – Cassandra Clare
Chain of Gold is one I thought I would’ve read by now. This is a spinoff I’ve been anxiously awaiting. The only positive thing about waiting so long is that I won’t have to wait long for the second book.
Cinderella is Dead – Kalynn Bayron
I’ve read many retellings, but I’ve never read a Cinderella one. Cinderella is Dead sounds like such an interesting take on this tale. I recently posted the opening line on my bookstagram and it made me want to read it right away!
What If It’s Us – Becky Albertalli & Adam Silvera
I’m ashamed to say I actually forgot I had this on my shelf. It wasn’t until I heard about the sequel being announced that I realized I haven’t read this one yet. I know Isabelle has read this one and thought it was fun. I’ve enjoyed books by both of these authors, so I hope I love their collaboration as well.
The Fixer – Jennifer Lynn Barnes
Jennifer Lynn Barnes is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. After reading The Inheritance Games and The Lovely and the Lost recently, I’m making sure I finally read all of her books I haven’t read yet. I know Isabelle loved the two books in this series, even though she was disappointed there was never a third.
Rebel Spy – Veronica Rossi
I actually bought Rebel Spy for a readalong during the summer, but of course I got distracted and didn’t get around to this one. Historical fiction is a genre I’m really starting to love and I’m hoping this one will keep me loving it even more.
Only Mostly Devastated – Sophie Gonazales
Only Mostly Devastated is described as Simon vs. the Homosapiens Agenda meets Clueless in this boy-meets-boy spin on Grease. How can I pass up a book like that?!? I need to read this one before reading this author’s next release Perfect on Paper. That doesn’t release until March, so I have some time. Even though they have nothing to do together, I like being caught up.
The Princess and the Fangirl – Ashley Poston
I started listening to the audiobook of The Princess and the Fangirl earlier this year, but sometimes they just don’t work for me even if I’m enjoying the story. So I got the paperback and need to finally finish this fun story.
So those are 10 of the books I hope to read this winter. There are quite a few backlist books and a few others that have been on my shelf for too long. What books do you want to read this winter? Feel free to leave your TTT link down below. I’d love to hear from you!

I really liked Only Mostly Devastated, and Cinderella is Dead was an intriguing retelling for sure. I wasn’t a huge fan of What If It’s Us, but I’d still read a sequel! Oh, and I need to read Small Spaces!!
