Last week we shared our Christmas Wishlist that we made for each other. We love doing little boxes and Christmas is always a great opportunity to do something like this. Today we’re back with Christmas Wishlist #2. We both had to make more than one wishlist, so let’s see what else we asked for!
Candyce
Besides the wishlist I made for Isabelle, I also celebrate Christmas with my mom and boyfriend. So I had to do two more wishlists. So I decided to share the one I gave to my mom, so she knew what books I wanted for Christmas. I’m seriously going to need more shelves after this holiday season, haha. But let’s take a look!
Instant Karma – Marissa Meyer
The Lunar Chronicles is a series I loved and I was very excited when Marissa Meyer announced she was writing a contemporary. Being able to cast karma on either people is an interesting concept and I know it’s not going to all go smoothly.
Always Never Yours – Emily Wibberley & Austin Siegemund-Broka
If I’m honest, I have no clue why I don’t own this book yet! It’s been on my radar for quite some time and I’ve read some really positive reviews. I love contemporary books, so I have a feeling this just needs to be on my shelf. It’s a Shakespeare retelling (or has elements of it). I’m really interested in this one.
If I’m Being Honest – Emily Wibberley & Austin Siegemund-Broka
Just like with Always Never Yours, If I’m Being Honest is a book I’ve heard a lot of amazing things about. Another Shakespeare retelling and a story that sounds really interesting. I’m normally not a fan of people on covers, but there’s just something about these that I really like.
Crazy Stupid Bromance – Lyssa Kay Adams
Okay, so I haven’t read Undercover Bromance yet, but I need the third book on my shelf. Also, it has a cat on the cover and then I need it even more. The first book was amazing and I have a feeling I’ll love the rest as well. These are the perfect books after reading a heavier more serious book.
The Archive of the Forgotten – A.J. Hackwith
I haven’t read the first book yet, but the concept of The Library of the Unwritten sounds so interesting. Quite a few of my friends have read it and loved it. I think I’m going to want the second book when I’m done with the first.
Chilling Effect – Valerie Valdes
At first I wasn’t really sure about this book when I saw it, but I keep coming back to it. I’ve enjoyed some science fiction books this year, so I want to give this one a go. Chilling Effect also has psychic cats? I need to know more!
Majesty – Katharine McGee
I seem to have a trend with asking for books when I haven’t read the first book in the series, haha. Again, I really think I’ll love the first one though. Also, I’d really like if this one matches my first book with sprayed edges.
A Lady’s Guide to Mischief and Mayhem – Manda Collins
A flirty historical rom-com? Yes, please! It also seems like this story has a strong female lead for the time in history this was written in. The story sounds amazing and I really hope this one is under the tree.
Isabelle
I didn’t ask for that many books this year to be honest. There are always a tonnnn of things on my wishlist, I’ll share some of the other things as well. But first, let’s take a look at the books I did put on my wishlist.
The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and the Horse – Charlie Mackesy
This book is gorgeous and I absolutely love all the quotes. I follow Charlie on Instagram and love all of the content. But this is a book I need on my shelves. As a psychologist I also think these quotes are super useful.
One By One – Ruth Ware
I love a good mystery and have been enjoying Ruth Ware. The Turn of the Key was one of my favorite reads last year and I hope this one is just as good!
The Three-Body Problem – Liu Cixin
This is such a beloved sci-fi read and I want to read more sci-fi books! With this being turned into a tv show I feel like this would be the perfect time to pick it up. I don’t exactly know what this is about and I would like to keep it that way!
Apart from books I also put a couple of Lego things on my wishlist. I usually get a lot of things that aren’t even on my wishlist haha. But I’m just super easy to shop for ;).
So that’s what we asked for on our Christmas Wishlist #2! Have you had to write a wishlist? We’d love to know what you asked for if you have. Let us know in the comments!
The Library of the Unwritten is amazing and I really need the sequel!!
I’ve had to make some book wish lists for a few swaps I’m doing. It can be tough to narrow things down. hah
