We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is Books With Colors in the Title. I couldn’t think of that many right off the bat so I had to do a deep dive. Let’s see which books I came up with!
1.The Black Flamingo – Dean Atta
Candyce and I both listened to the audiobook of The Black Flamingo not too long ago and we loved this book so much! It was an amazing read with great characters and a very moving story. Slowly I’m becoming a contemporary reader haha, but books like this are for everyone in my opinion!
2. Red, White & Royal Blue – Casey McQuiston
One of my absolute favorite books of last year! Candyce and I did a buddyreview for this one and I think we just gushed about the book the whole time haha. This was such a swoonworthy love story and I can’t wait to read more by Casey.
3. Blackbird vol. 1 – Sam Humphries
This was such a visually pleasing graphic novel. I adored the art and especially the use of colors. The story was intriguing and while it wasn’t the best executed and I still really want to read more of this series. Hopefully we will get more volumes in the future!
4. The Red Scrolls of Magic – Cassandra Clare
While I really dislike this cover, I did really enjoy this story! It was great being back with some of the OG Shadowhunter characters but still get a cool new story. I really liked the story and can’t wait to read the sequel <3.
5. Little White Lies – Jennifer Lynn Barnes
Jennifer Lynn Barnes is one of my favorite (underrated) authors and I want to read every single thing she wrote. I adored this duology and I’m so sad it is over already. These characters were wonderful and the mystery was very compelling.
6. A Touch of Gold – Annie Sullivan
This was such an enjoyable read! Annie is a very sweet human and I’m excited to read more by her. I have the sequel for this series and I can’t wait to found out where the story will go next. This world was super interesting and had a lot going on, I’m sure we’ll get a great story!
7. All Systems Red – Martha Wells
Murderbot is one of the most relatable characters I ever read about haha. And I would highly recommend this series to everyone. The first four books are novella’s so you can read them quite quickly. Recently the fifth book was released, and that is actually a full-length novel. I can’t believe I still haven’t read that one as it was one of my most anticipated releases for the year.
8. Black Iris – Elliot Wake
I’ve read this book years and years ago but still remember this one quite well. At first I wasn’t completely sure what to think of this book and these characters. But the more I read, the more I came to love this story and our MC. Definitely still relevant so I urge you to pick it up if you haven’t read this one yet.
9. Red Queen – Victoria Aveyard
Another oldie! I can still remember when I bought this one (on the airport) and reading it on my holiday. After I finished it I pushed my friend to read it so I had someone to talk to haha. I kept watching her react to the story so I knew when to jump in with some comments haha. Recently I picked up the third book and I should continue reading that one soon!
10. Blue Lily, Lily Bue – Maggie Stiefvater
I LOVE the Raven Cycle series and Blue Lily, Lily Blue might be my favorite book in the series. Talking about it makes me want to pick the whole series back up and reread them. These book are so wonderful and I love the characters still. But I also own the first book in the sequel series so I should probably get to that first haha.
These were 10 lovely books with colors in their titles. I’m extremely proud I had reviews for so many of them! And I was surprised I found so many, so easily. I’m pretty sure I read even more than this. What is your favorite book with a color in title? Let me know in the comments!

It was really fun to do!
I never tend to notice the titles and the colors! I absolutely adore Red, White & Royal Blue, one of my favorite reads last year. The colors for Blackbird are astounding!
Haha, I definitely had to scroll through my books to find these. And then I fell a bit dumb haha. RW&RB was so good, wasn’t it <3. And Blackbird was gorgeous on the inside as well!
It was!!! RW&RB is one of those books I have stayed up until 3am reading, didn’t regret it! 🙂
Great list! I really want to give the Murderbot series a try.
I really enjoyed that series! And the books are super short so they are fast reads <3
The Black Flamingo looks so interesting!

It was such a good read!
Good list. I enjoyed the first three Murderbots, but somehow never got around to the 4th or the new one.
My Top Ten Tuesday.
Thank you! I will have to admit the first Murderbot book was the best. I do hope the full length sequel will be better again, there is more room for a good plot!
Oh this is a super fun TTT! Lots of gorgeous covers too.
I definitely had fun picking out these books! And yes, there are some amazing covers here <3
So many great picks!
Thank you!
Little White Lies has definitely caught my attention. What a great title.

Thank you! Yes I would highly recommend reading it <3
Great list! Which of these do you think is your favorite?
My TTT
That’s a hard question! All of these are at least a 4 star rating and I think most were actually 5 star reads. Red, White & Royal Blue is definitely a top contender, so I might have to go with that one haha.
