Show Sunday | Elite season 3

Last week season 3 of Elite was released. I wrote a post about both the first and the second season right after watching those. Of course I planned on watching the third season as soon as it released! And I watched it all in no time at all haha. I’m a bit sad because I finished it so quickly, but I just couldn’t help myself. So let’s talk about it!
Since this is a post about season 3, there will be spoilers about the first two seasons so beware!

When three working-class teenagers begin attending an exclusive private school in Spain, the clash between them and the wealthy students leads to murder.

When we start this third season, all of the characters know Pollo is the killer. In the first episode we see another death and like the first two seasons we switch between the time lines.

The cast announced this will be their last season. So while there have been two more seasons of the show announced, those will be with all new characters. Going in to this ‘last’ season was super interesting knowing this storyline of the past seasons would come to a close. The cast said it would all come full circle and I was very excited about it all.

While I’m writing this post, I get super sad all over again. I finished this latest season in a day or 2 just like I did the first 2 seasons. This show has become one of my favorites and I adore (most of) these characters. While the mystery is always interesting, what I loved most were the relationships between all the characters. And especially in the last two seasons, I think those relationships are the most important part of the show.

Out of all three mysteries we got, I was least interested in this seasons mystery. I did like the closure we got in the end though! It was very bitter sweet to see what happened with everyone and I have to say, that last season was a great opening for most of the characters to still be in the next season…. But that’s just my opinion 😉

We saw a couple of shifts in the relationships this season and I was a fan of most of them! Others I really hated though haha. But I think most characters really grew and became better people because of everything they went through. They started to find themselves and what is important to them. Not all couples I wanted to see together ended up together. And while that was somewhat sad, I also think it was very realistic.

I’ve talked a lot about the relationships but not all of them were romantic. We also got some AMAZING friendships and I’m all here for it. Last season was the start of the friendship between Guzman and Samuel and we got to see more of them together this time around. I love how they found each other <3. There was another surprising but wonderful friendship, I won’t give away who’s involved but they has some of the best scenes.

All in all I could honestly gush about this show for days! And just talking about it makes me want to rewatch all of it. It’s going to be interesting to see what the next two seasons will be about. If it’s not to my liking, I might just go ahead and rewatch season 1 – 3 with all my favs. Have you seen season 3 yet? What did you think? Tell me about it in the comments!
