Show Sunday | Elite season 2

About two weeks ago the second season of Elite was released. And of course I had to watch it right away haha. I ended up watching the whole second season in 2 days, I think I watched the first season in 2 days as well haha. And today I want to talk to you all about this Spanish Netflix show. So let’s get in to it!

When three working-class teens enroll in an exclusive private school in Spain, the clash between them and the wealthy students leads to murder.

The first season was all about the murder of a student and the event leading up to it. I never expected to enjoy it as much as I did and I really started to care about these often entitled characters. There are some amazing ships and it’s just a really fun show! It’s somewhat reminiscent of Gossip Girl and How To Get Away With Murder, especially with the dual time line. Today I mostly want to talk about the second season, this means there will be spoilers for the first season. So if you haven’t seen a single episode, go watch the trailer below and binge the show! Then come back to read about season 2 😉

We end season 1 with the revelation of who the killer is and what lead up to the murder. But we also see the wrong person accused of the murder and that’s how we start season 2. We get another dual timeline and this time someone is missing. I think it takes us about two episodes to find out who it missing exactly and I was on the edge of my seat! Like I said, I really came to care for these characters and I was praying the missing person was still alive. Let’s take a look at the season 2 trailer. Again, spoilers if you haven’t seen season 1, watch at your own risk 😉

There are 3 new characters this season, you see two of them briefly in the trailer. We meet Valerio, Rebeca and Cayetana. I detest one of them and can’t wait for them to be taken down haha. But the other two have wiggled their way in to my heart! I didn’t expect that going in to this season, especially because they do some questionable things, but then again, don’t they all do that 😉

I think my strongest ship is still Nadia & Guzman, they are my babies and I need them to be happy together. They have a lot of drama going on this season and I loved every second of it haha. There’s also a new ship, I wasn’t expecting to be into this one, but it worked out amazingly and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for them. I don’t want to say who I’m talking about as I think it can be a bit of a spoiler.

The storyline was wonderful and super addictive. We deal with the events of the first season. Everyone has to deal with the dead of their classmate and someone has to deal with the blood on his or her hands…. Apart from the new mystery about the missing person there is a ton of drama and some secrets. Most of them involve relationships and I think that’s what this show does best! You also get to see development from most of the characters.

If you watched this show because of Christian or Nano you’re out of luck. I think it’s because of filming for La Casa but they weren’t in that many scenes. Hopefully we’ll see more of them in season 3. Because I am positive there will be a season 3! The last episode of season 2 was AMAZING. I kept yelling out loud and loved how everything went down. But those last scenes, oh my! I can’t wait to see what the writers have in store for us <3

Have you seen Elite yet? Do you plan on watching it? Come talk to me in the comments, I can’t wait to discuss everyone’s favorite ships and predictions for season 3.
