I don’t think we’ve ever had this small of an Anticipated Releases list, but it is what it is! We try to only select books we’re really excited about and there don’t seem to be that many for the month of June. I guess this will be the month to work on those backlist books! Without further ado, let’s take a look at our most anticipated releases for June.
The Beholder – Anna Bright (June 4th)
I believe this is an Odyssey retelling, how cool is that! Also, the cover is gorgeous. I’m seriously super excited for this book and don’t want to know to much about it.
Sorcery of Thorns – Margaret Rogerson (June 4th)
I haven’t read Margaret’s other book yet and have heard a lot of negative things about it. But this new book once again has a beautiful cover and the premise sounds wonderful. So I think I will be given this one a chance and see for myself if I’ll like Margaret’s writing and stories.
The Chosen – Taran Matharu (June 4th)
After meeting Taran last year I really wanted to read his Summoner’s series, but it still haven’t done that. However, I did get an eARC for The Chosen, which has a super cool premise. It also has dinosaurs, do I need to say anything else?
Ghosts of the Shadow Market – Cassandra Clare and others (June 4th)
We already read most of the novellas in this bind-up but it will contain two new ones so obviously we need those. You can find our reviews for the first 8 stories here, here, and here. We just enjoy this world a lot and will probably keep on reading whatever Cassandra Clare writes next!
Storm and Fury – Jennifer L. Armentrout (June 11th)
I was a big fan of the Dark Elements series (even if I didn’t like the covers too much, haha). Zayne was a character I came to love, so I can’t wait to see him have his story now. I already pre-ordered this one! I can’t wait to start reading it.
The Exact Opposite of Okay – Laura Steven (June 11th)
We both LOVED this one when it was released in the UK last year. Laura Steven visited the Netherlands and she is the sweetest. We loved meeting her and urge everyone to pick up this book. You can find our raving review here.
DEV1AT3 – Jay Kristoff (June 25th)
Lifl1k3 was a book that surprised me so much when I read it and I was upset with myself for not reading it sooner. Then again it made me want a lot more, so I’m glad I had less time to wait for the release date. I can’t wait to see where Jay Kristoff takes this story.
Wicked Fox – Kat Cho (June 25th)
Another gorgeous cover! This one is about a gumiho, a nine tailed fox who must devour the energy of men in order to survive. How cool does that sounds? I don’t even want to read the rest of the summary because this is just amazing and has me immediately interested!
Call It What You Want – Brigid Kemmerer (June 25th)
I still have to read Letters to the Lost and More Than We Can Tell, but I love the covers of her contemporary books! After finishing A Curse so Dark and Lonely I am definitely a fan. I think this author has become an autobuy author for me! On top of that, this story sounds like one that is right up my alley!
As we said, this is our shortest list ever! There are a lot of other releases in June, but we’re not so sure about them. What releases haven’t we listed that we can’t miss! Let us know why you think we need them.
