Review
Cover While the cover does it the romance genre, I don’t really think it fits the book to be honest. Blood Match is so much more than the romance aspect.
Plot Blood Type was already an amazing story, but Blood Match got even better. After the cliffhanger I really needed this book and it didn’t disappoint. I actually think this one got even better. This story starts off a little after the ending of Blood Type and Reyna is in a situation she never expected. Besides the romance aspect, there is a lot of suspense. Reyna and others are up for a fight, but will they be able to win? Things aren’t always what they seem and Reyna has to learn to cope. Beckham is still the mysterious sexy vampire. There are some amazing characters added to this story with Elle and I hope we see even more of them. Once again, K.A. Linde left me wanting more. Luckily Blood Cure will be released in a couple of months. I have read different vampire books, but not any with a world created like this. How making vampires less animalistic with blood matches can turn into their worst nightmare in the end. A world where is doesn’t matter how smart you are, it isn’t easy to get a job. A world where vampires aren’t supposed to be as scary, but still have way too much power. Sounds interesting doesn’t it? Paranormal readers will love this story! I don’t want to say too much, because this is really a book you need to discover while reading!
Characters Reyna started off as a character who was just trying to find a way to survive and make life easier on her brothers. Giving blood wasn’t something she expected to turn into a permanent thing, but her world just got a whole lot more complicated. Even though Reyna can be a bit too stubborn and naive, she is a strong character who doesn’t give up. While she is fighting for her life, all she can really think of is Beckham. There are strong feelings, but I wouldn’t have worried about that so much, haha. I love that Reyna wants to be useful and not just sit around. It is her life after all! Reyna is a fighter!
Beckham is still the arrogant vampire who doesn’t show emotion, but this is just an act. There is so much more to Beckham. In the end he doesn’t want to be the monster, but he can’t help but think he is. Doing one thing, but believing another has to be incredibly hard. Showing emotions or that you care about someone could be dangerous in his world. Once we get a better look at him, he is definitely one for the bookboyfriend list.
All of the characters that work for Elle are amazing and I loved them a lot, haha. Well, Sydney was a weird one. K.A. Linde created another amazing group of characters.
A startling new vision of paranormal romance: When a human ventures into the world of vampires—a decadent milieu of blood-bonds and betrayal—she discovers that not all is what it seems.
For Reyna Carpenter, giving up her body isn’t a choice. It’s survival.
In a civilization laid waste by poverty and desperation, Reyna accepts a high-paying position with the wealthy and hungry vampire elite. Her new job is as the live-in blood escort for the intimidating, demanding, and devilishly handsome Beckham Anderson. He’s everything she expected from a vampire, except for one thing—he won’t feed off her.
Reyna soon discovers that behind Beckham’s brooding, wicked façade lies a unique and complex man. And that, in a dark and divided world, she is more valuable than she ever would have believed.
For with each passing night, Reyna can’t shake the sensation that it’s Beckham who’s afraid of her.
Note: Reyna and Beckham’s story continues in Blood Match.

The stunning conclusion to the Blood Type series finds the world in chaos and turmoil with one final battle left to determine who will survive—humans or vampires.

As she finds herself in the midst of a losing rebellion, she and her trusted friends must flee from a city conquered by the vampire elite. With their plans blown to pieces and everything they knew and loved gone, their future hangs in the balance.
Despite all she has lost, Reyna must rise from the ashes, reclaim the life that was stolen—and complete her mission, once and for all.

I’m still very surprise that this author is able to write so many different things so well! It’s going to be torture waiting for the last book in this trilogy, haha. What was the last vampire romance you read?
