Bookhaul | June 2026

Happy July everyone! How are we already halfway through 2026? This year is really flying by. The start of the new month means it’s time to see what books we added to our shelves last month. Keep reading for our June bookhaul!

Candyce

In June I added 11 books to my shelves. Out of the 11 books, 5 are from my two book subscriptions, so I think I did pretty good this month. I’ve read one of these already and I’m working on two of them at the moment.

Pot Shot – Laura Piper Lee

Pot Shot wasn’t a book I had on my radar, but a friend of mine mentioned it and it sounds pretty good. From what I’ve seen this one is laugh out loud funny, but also an emotional one at the same time.

Bromantasy – Marie Roche

The cover alone had me sold on getting Bromantasy! I’m always here for a queer cozy fantasy and I have a feeling this book is going to make me laugh out loud.

This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me – Ilona Andrews

I can’t imagine waking up one morning and being in my favorite fictional world. That wouldn’t be the best situation to be in, but I’m sure it’d be very interesting. Especially when you know the series so well you know exactly what’s about to happen.

My Forever Girl – Laura Pavlov

Laura Pavlov is a new to me author, but a friend of mine has loved her books and we have a very similar reading taste. A small town, friends to lovers romance is something I’ll never say no to. It’ll be fun to read my first book by this author.

Rumors & Whiskey – Victoria Wilder

I’ve been anxiously awaiting the first book in Victoria Wilder’s new romantic suspense series. My copy arrived on release day and I’m hoping to love it as much as The Bourbon Boys.

Light Wielder – Rachel Schneider

Metal Slinger is a book I still think about often and I read it almost two years ago. The sequel, Light Wielder, is finally out in the world. I’ve seen some mixed reviews, but I’m still very excited to see how it goes after the ending of book one.

Shadow Reaper – Lynette Noni

After loving The Prison Healer (even though the last book was a little disappointing), I’m excited to start a new duology by this author. I’ve heard amazing things about Shadow Reaper so far, so I’m hoping to love it just as much.

The Unicorn Hunters – Katherine Arden

The Unicorn Hunters is the one Fairyloot book this month that I’m not sure is for me. This edition is stunning and I have enjoyed books by Katherine Arden before. It does have a secret marriage and an enchanted forest. So I could end up loving it?

The Assassin’s Way – J.M. Kearl

Vampires and assassins! Need I say more? I have a feeling I could really love The Assassin’s Way and I’m so happy with this Fairyloot edition.

The Open Era – Edward Schmit

The Open Era seems to be marketed as MM romance, but from what I’ve seen from reviews it’s more contemporary than it really is a romance. I still think it can be very interesting though. Illumicrate did great with this Afterlight edition.

Nemesis Mine – Amy Archer

Nemesis Mine seems to be a fantasy rom-com? I don’t think I’ve read one of those or at least not in quite some time, haha. This Illumicrate edition has me even more excited about reading about Maximillian and Cyrus.

Isabelle

I got 2 new audiobooks through Audible and I also got 2 ebooks on sale. No physical books, but still more than before!

Starside – Alex Aster

This was on sale and everyone on BookTok seemed to love this book. So I was actually convinced pretty easily. I hope to read it soonish and see for myself if it’s worth the hype haha.

The Ending Writes Itself – Evelyn Clarke

One part of the writer duo Evelyn Clarke is V.E. Schwab so I wanted to read this one just for that reason. But this book also sounds interesting and it was on sale! I hope to read this one in the summer.

Audible

The Golden Raven – Nora Sakavic

I already have the ebook for this one, but I also wanted the audiobook. These books are some of my go-to rereads when I can’t sleep and for the last couple of years I have reread them at least once a year. So I’m happy to have this one in my collection now as well.

The Secrets We Hide – Karin Slaughter

I love Karin Slaugher and have read almost all of her books. Of course I had to get her newest release! I’m really excited about this one and I plan on reading it really soon. Just 2 more busy weeks at work and then I will go all out on my books!

So that’s our June bookhaul! Did you get any of these? Or what did you add to your shelves? Let us know in the comments. We’d love to hear from you!

  1. It’s crazy how quickly time goes, isn’t it? I’ve definitely been feeling that way lately too – hoping to make the most of these summer reads.
