It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!

What did you recently finish reading?

Rumors & Whiskey – Victoria Wilder

After loving The Bourbon Boys, I was really excited about Rumors & Whiskey. Wyn was such an interesting character and even though I was a bit confused the first few chapters, it all came full circle. This woman went through so much and she’s still standing. Then there’s Julian who is just trying to find some answers. I loved how everything came together and how these two characters got to know each other. I can’t wait for the next book.

Starsight – Brandon Sanderson

Last Sunday was our book discussion about Starsight and I had a great time. I didn’t love it as much as Skyward, but there were so many amazing elements. The world is interesting and it’s interesting to see where this will go. I think our main character Spensa learned a lot about herself in this story. I can’t wait to read the next book.

What are you currently reading?

Bromantasy – Maire Roche

Sometimes you just need a cozy fantasy and Bromantasy was just what I needed. I’m about 7 chapters in and it’s making me laugh out loud. So far this is a feel good story! Just what I was looking for.

The Twelve Loves of Christmas: An Advent Romance Collection

I know it’s only the first of July when this comes online, but I’m already very much in a holiday romance mood. A few of the romance authors I’ve read from before and enjoyed wrote short stories for this collection. It doesn’t release until the end of September, but I’m reading a story here and there. So far I’ve read 7 of the 12 stories and I’m having fun.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Dearly Departed – Chip Pons

This Hades inspired gay rom-com caught my eye when I heard about it. I love the cover and it seems like the author is going to give us a twist with the Gods we’ve all heard about before. I’ll honestly be surprised if I don’t love this one.

Light Wielder – Rachel Schneider

Metal Slinger was one of my surprised reads of last year and after loving that I’m also kind of scared to pick up Light Wielder. After loving the first book so much, I think my expectations are a bit high. That being said, I really am curious about Light Wielder and to see where this story will take me. My copy was delayed, but I finally have it in my hands.
