We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Most Anticipated Books Releasing in the Second Half of 2026. I always like making these lists, so let’s jump in!

1. The Secrets We Hide – Karin Slaughter

I love Karin Slaughter and have read almost all of her books. Every year I’m looking forward to her newest release and this year is no different. This is the second book in the new North Fall series and I’m excited to see how it will develop.

2. My Killer Family Reunion – Dinesh Thiru

This mystery comedy is described as Knives Out meets Never Have I Ever and I love both of those things so much. So this was a very obvious choice for me! Hopefully this will be as funny as I think it will be.

3. Wicked Endeavors – Kamilah Cole

This is the first book in a romantasy duology set in a kingdom inspired by the Spanish Renaissance. It has a high society of elite witches and that just sounds really really cool in my opinion.

4. Tempest – Victoria Aveyard

I really like Victoria Aveyard as a person, so I would already be interested in her new book based on that. But I have also been following her journey with this first adult book she wrote on TikTok and I loved all the videos about it. I can’t wait for this pirate enemies to lovers story!

5. Dead Beat – Leigh Bardugo

The third book in the Alex Stern series! I’m so curious to see what happens next with these characters. Admittedly, I don’t remember that much from the first 2 books, but I hope those details will come back to me once I’m reading this one.

6. Exit Party – Emily St. John Mandel

I have had multiple Emily St. John Mandel books on my wishlist and this is the newest! This is another science fiction story and I don’t think I can explain what it is about at all haha. But the synopsis does sound really interesting and excited to dive in!

7. Victorious – V.E. Schwab

Another author I adore! I also loved the first two books in the Villains series and I’m beyond excited for this third and final book. This is such a different vibe from her other recent releases and I’m sure I will love this one.

8. A Court of Thorns & Roses #6 – Sarah J. Maas

We hardly know anything about this release, but I think I’m with everyone that this is one of my most anticipated releases. I still reread Throne of Glass every year and that is the superior series in my opinion. But I also love Crescent City and I’m really curious if what we learned in that series will show up here!

9. The Last King of Faerie – Cassandra Clare

It’s been a while since I read a Cassandra Clare book, but I’m really excited for this one. Kit and Ty were some of my absolute favorite characters in the Dark Artifices series and I have been waiting for their book ever since I read about them.

10. Dangerous Impulses – Jennifer Lynn Barnes

And one more author I adore. I have loved the Natural series since I first discovered it years ago and I never expected to get another release in the series. Hopefully this will bring some much deserved love to the books!
