We’re halfway through 2025! How is that possible? That being said, it is a great time to check in with you about my reading goals. How am I doing? Isabelle recently did her update, so it’s time to do mine. Let’s take a look at how I’m doing!
Read 100 books

As I said in my reading goals post, I know I can read 100 books. I want to keep track of what I read, but I don’t want the pressure of “having” to read a certain amount of books. I just love seeing how far I get. At this moment, I’ve read 166 books. So I’m definitely on track and I’m happy with my reading so far.
Increase My Netgalley Ratio

This has been a goal every year since I started using Netgalley. When I posted my 2025 reading goals, I had a feedback ratio of 45% (170 approved/77 feedback sent). Six months later, I’m still at 45%, haha. Since then I’ve added 86 books to my Kindle, but I’ve also reviewed 39 more books. I’m still determined to get to at least 60% before the end of the year.
Read Big Books

Even though I often love big books, I tend to hesitate to pick up books over 500 pages. Mostly because I know that I can read multiple books in the time it takes me to read one big book. In 2024, I read 20 big books. At the moment, I’ve read 15 big books so far. So I don’t think it’ll be a problem to read more than I did last year.
Work on Catching Up On/Finishing Series

I’m terrible at finishing series. I either forget about it while waiting for a new book to release. Or I just keep getting distracted by other books. So I’m really trying to be more aware of the series I have going. This year I’ve finished 13 series so far. There are quite a few duologies here, but I still finished them!
Actually Finish All of the Books I Start (or DNF)
I forgot about this goal. Oops! It’s something I do still need to work on. I’m still easily distrated, so this is a goal I need to focus on the rest of the year.
Add Less Physical Books to My Shelves
Adding less books to my shelves is still a challenge, but I’m trying, haha. 2025 has been filled with amazing releases. I will say that I’ve been trying to read what I buy. I’ve read 55 books off of my shelves so far. This needs to increase before the end of the year.
I have to say that I’m not doing too bad this year when it comes to reading. It will always be hard to resist new books, haha. How are you doing with your reading goals? Are you happy with your reading this year so far? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.

You’ve done quite well with your bookish goals. I would struggle a bit with not adding more physical books to my shelves.
