Both of us celebrated our birthdays in March, so the question is, did we get books to celebrate? It’s officially April, so time to talk about the books added to our shelves in March. If you want to see what we got, keep on reading for our March bookhaul!
Candyce
In March I added 19 books to my shelves. It was my birthday this month, so I have added quite a few books. I got some money and a budget to shop at the bookstore in Amsterdam. Let’s take a look at what I got!
A Reaper at the Gates – Sabaa Tahir
As I’ve said the last few months, we’re reading An Ember in the Ashes for our series slayers readalong. The first two books were amazing! In March we read A Reaper at the Gates, so I had to add the new paperback to my shelves. I really love how floppy these books are.
Bridesmaid for Hire & Bridesmaid Undercover – Meghan Quinn
Meghan Quinn is one of my favorite rom-com authors and I haven’t read these books yet. I know Bridesmaid for Hire has fake dating. That’s my favorite trope. Bridesmaid Undercover is more of a forced proximity romance, I think? All I know is that I need to read these two before the third book releases.
Glow of the Everflame – Penn Cole
Spark of the Everflame was the start of this fantasy romance and I loved it! Glow of the Everflame is the sequel, and I couldn’t resist it at the bookstore. The ending of the first book left me needing more of Diem’s story.
A Photo Finish – Elsie Silver
After finishing the Chestnut Springs series and just about being caught up with the Rose Hill series, I needed to read this series. Off to the Races was enjoyable and I finished it the day before I went to the bookstore. I’m excited about Violet and Cole’s story. After the first book, I’m not sold on Cole yet, but I have a feeling that’s about to change.
Phantasma – Kaylie Smith
I read an eARC of Phantasma last year and it was a five star read for me. It was a story that had me hooked from the start, but that I didn’t own physically. I’ll actually be rereading this one in April, so I decided to add it to my shelves. I can’t wait for Enchantra to release as well.
My Dark Prince – Parker S. Huntington & L.J. Shen
So I’ve only read My Dark Romeo in this trilogy, but after being hooked, I knew I needed this third book on my shelves. I love that this is a Sleeping Beauty reimagining/retelling. Oliver is a very outspoken character in the first book, so I’m curious about his story.
Book Boyfriend – Emily Wibberley & Austin Siegemund-Broka
This married author duo has written a few books that I’ve loved so far and I’ve been anxiously awaiting the release of Book Boyfriend. Devoted fangirl meets hesitant fanboy? Yes, please!
Promise Me Sunshine – Cara Bastone
After loving Ready or Not, I’m so ready to sit down and read Promise Me Sunshine. I also just really needed this gorgeous cover on my shelves.
Wild Side – Elsie Silver
Elsie Silver is also one of my auto-buy authors and Wild Side was one of my most anticipated 2025 releases. Wild Side is a marriage of convenience, and I’ve heard nothing but good things about it so far.
My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999 Vol. 5 – Mashiro
Last month I added volume 4 to my shelves, so when I saw that volume 5 was available to pre-order, I decided to do that. I love that this manga is a great combination of love and gaming. Even if I’m not a gamer, haha.
Honey Trap – Tate James
A friend of mine sent me Honey Trap and the book I will talk about after this one for my birthday. I honestly didn’t know she ordered anything, so it was such a sweet surprise. Tate James is an author I really love and I’m almost done with the Hades series. After that I can read Honey Trap!
Love to Loathe You – Ali Hazelwood
So I listened to this bundle of novellas a while ago, and I’ve been wanting to add the physical book to my shelves. I know that this one also has a bonus chapter/story, so that’ll be fun to read. I do want to reread these in the near future.
A Condition Called Love Vol. 12 – Megumi Morino
Last month I added three volumes of A Condition Called Love to my shelves and this month Vol. 12 arrived. I’m now caught up with what has been translated to English. I’m looking forward to binge reading the four volumes I haven’t read yet.
Kiss of the Basilisk – Lindsay Straube
Kiss of the Basilisk used to be called Split or Swallow as an indie book, but has been picked up by Bloom books. I’ve heard it’s best to go into this book blind, so I’m not going to read the synopsis beforehand.
Firebird – Juliette Cross
Firebird was March’s Fairyloot Romantasy book. This edition is stunning! I believe this is a dark romantasy that takes place in a re-imagined Rome. I don’t think I’ve ever read a romantasy like that, so I’m intrigued.
Say You’ll Remember Me – Abby Jimenez
My preorder of Say You’ll Remember Me arrived a week and a half early! I was not expecting that to happen. This is one of my most anticipated releases of the year, so that was very exciting. I’ve decided not to read Just for the Summer until I can read along with the audiobook though.
Our Infinite Fates – Laura Steven
Laura Steven became a favorite author of mine when she released The Exact Opposite of Okay. Our Infinite Fates is her newest release and I keep hearing amazing things about this one. I couldn’t resist getting this shiny first edition.
God of War – Rina Kent
God of War is the final book in the Legacy of Gods series. I’ve been slowly working on Rina Kent’s backlist, so I have this one complete when I want to start. I believe this is a next generation series and I’m excited.
Isabelle
I didn’t get any new physical books this month (although I’m expecting a couple to arrive tomorrow or the day after!), but I did get an ebook and an audiobook so I will be talking about those!
The Golden Raven – Nora Sakavic
The newest instalment in the All for the Game series, and more specifically the Sunshine Court trilogy. I love this series, I love these characters and I was highly anticipating this release. At some point I would love to get physical copies of all of these books!
Audible
Sunrise on the Reaping – Suzanne Collins
I obviously couldn’t skip this release! And I decided to go with the audiobook. I love the Hunger Games series and this was another one of my most anticipated releases of the year. Obviously I had to start listening to the audiobook right away!
So that’s our March bookhaul! Have you read any of these? Or did you add any books to your shelves this month? Let us know in the comments. We’d love to hear from you!
