Wishlist Wednesday| Most Anticipated Releases April 2025

April is right around the corner and that means it’s time to take a look at the books releasing. The last few months have been filled with new releases that sound amazing, but is April the same? Today we’ll find out as we talk about our most anticipated April releases.

Any Trope but You – Victoria Lavine (April 1st)

Any Trope but You has an author as a main character and I’m always sold with that. Margot flees to Alaska to write her first murder mystery and ends up in what seems to be her own rom com. I have a feeling this one is going to be good!

Say You’ll Remember Me – Abby Jimenez (April 1st)

Abby Jimenez is another author that I have added to my auto-buy author list. Her books are romantic and all have a bit of an emotional aspect. Say You’ll Remember Me is going to be another one of those, I think. I don’t know much about this one and I plan to go in blind.

A Drop of Corruption – Robert Jackson Bennett (April 1st)

The Tainted Cup was the first book in this series and was Sherlock Holmes meets fantasy and I had a really good time. A Drop of Corruption is the sequel, and I’m excited to see what our main characters have to solve this time.

Swept Away – Beth O’Leary (April 1st)

I still haven’t read anything by Beth O’Leary, but I’ve been wanting to. Swept Away sounds like a fun place to start. Our main characters get stuck together on a boat after a one night stand. That’s a case of forced proximity no one expects.

Vera Wong’s Guide to Snooping (On a Dead Man) – Jesse Q. Sutanto (April 1st)

Cozy mysteries are something I want to read more of and I was excited about this sequel after I read Vera Wong’s Unsolicited Advice for Murderers. It’ll be fun to see what Vera gets up to this time around.

Enchantra – Kaylie Smith (April 8th)

Phantasma was such a pleasant surprise last year! Enchantra is a new story and our main character is now the sister from Phantasma. There’s another game and I’m excited. I actually thought this was the final book, but I’ve heard we’re getting a third?

The California Dreamers – Amy Mason Doan (April 8th)

I actually stumbled upon The California Dreamers when the author followed me on Instagram. I love books that revolve around a family and their history/secrets. The California Dreamers sounds like a good one.

Roll for Love – M.K. England (April 8th)

Roll for Love is a second chance romance and involved Dungeons and Dragons. I love stories that incorporate this game and I’m excited to pick this up. It’s fun seeing this game used as a way for a character to become more confident or figure things out.

Wild and Wrangled – Lyla Sage (April 15th)

Wild and Wrangled is Cam and Dusty’s story. We were introduced to this one at the end of Lost and Lassoed and I’m excited. Rebel Blue Ranch is such a good cowboy romance series and I’m sad that this is the last book. At least I think it is.

Anywhere You Go – Bridget Morrissey (April 22nd)

Bridget Morrissey was put on my auto-buy author list after I read This Summer Feeling. Anywhere You Go has a stunning cover and seems like a fun summer read. Our main characters switch homes to escape their lives. Stories like this are fun to read, so I can’t wait to get my hands on this one.

Great Big Beautiful Life – Emily Henry (April 22nd)

In all honesty, I only know our two main characters are authors. Emily Henry is one of my favorite authors and that’s all I really need to know, haha.

Love at Second Sight – F.T. Lukens (April 29th)

Our main character Cam gets a glimpse of the future through a murderer’s POV and it happens at his school. Cam doesn’t normally get a lot of attention and his world is about to be turned upside down as he tries to figure out what’s about to happen. I’ve been wanting to read a book by this author for quite some time.

Bat Eater and Other Names for Cora Zeng – Kylie Lee Baker (April 29th)

Horror isn’t my go to genre, but Bat Eater and Other Names for Cora Zeng sounds really interesting. The synopsis says “a woman is haunted by inner trauma, hungry ghosts, and a serial killer as she confronts the brutal violence experienced by East Asians during the pandemic.” And it seems Cora is a crime scene cleaner and I’m very intrigued.

So here are the April releases we’re looking forward to! Do we have any in common? Or are there any releases you think we’re missing and need to know about? Let us know in the comments! We’d love to hear from you.
