WWW Wednesday #83

It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!

So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What did you recently finish reading?

Reign of a King – Rina Kent

After devouring the Royal Elite series, I had to jump into the next series by Rina Kent. I will say I was a bit hesitant, because I wasn’t a fan of Jonathan at all. That being said, he really won me over in this story. Aurora is also such an interesting character and them together just really started working. That ending left me needing more! I’ll be reading the conclusion to this duology this week.

Eternal Reign – Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti

Even though I’m not even close to being finished with Zodiac Academy, I decided I wanted to give this vampire series a go. A friend of mine described it as Twilight meet Hunger Games and that was definitely a good description. Eternal Reign is clearly the start of the series and we get a lot of information, but I’m hooked. I need to know how Callie and Montana’s story continues.

What are you currently reading?

Murder in the Dressing Room – Holly Stars

I’m reading Murder in the Dressing Room for a group discussion next week. At the moment, I’m 41% in and I’m not exactly sure if I’m enjoying it. It could be the narration of the audiobook or the style, but this cozy mystery just isn’t pulling me in as much as I had hoped it would.

Until Next Summer – Ali Brady

After reading This Summer Feeling, I love the idea of an adult summer camp. Which is exactly what we get in Until Next Summer. Our two main characters got to know each other at this camp and had a falling out because of the camp as well. With the news that the camp will only open one more season, Jessie decides to make it an adult camp and let the children who came years ago enjoy one last camp there. Besides that we have Jessie and Hillary trying to rekindle their friendship and maybe some new romance?

What do you think you’ll read next?

I’m not really sure what I’m in the mood to read at the moment. I want to read everything at once. There is one book I’ll be reading for a discussion this weekend.

A Reaper at the Gates – Sabaa Tahir

We finally got to the third book in the An Ember in the Ashes series and I’m loving it. There are so many twists and turns, I really have no clue where this story is going to go. I believe A Reaper at the Gates gets a few more POVs than we’ve had before, so I have a feeling I’m not going to want to put this down.

So that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week! What have you been reading lately? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
