Bookish Item| September TBR

With only a little less than a week left of August, I thought it’d be a good time to talk about my September TBR. I only work the first week of the month and then have 3 weeks off. We do have some plans, but I’ll definitely have some extra reading time! So let’s see what some of the books will be that I plan on reading next month.

Group Reads

Once Upon a Broken Heart – Stephanie Garber

This trilogy is one I’ve heard a lot of amazing things about and I’m going to finally start it for the final series read for series slayers in 2024. I’m going into this one not knowing much, because I’ve noticed I love reading that way the most when it comes to series.

The Pairing – Casey McQuiston

So I accidentally added The Pairing on my August TBR and saying it was the swoon read, but I was a month early. We actually read Tangled Up in You for August. I’ll just copy what I said in my August TBR about this one. So far I’ve read and loved all of Casey McQuiston’s books. Even if nothing has beat Red, White & Royal Blue up until now. In The Pairing two exes accidentally book the same European tour and challenge each other to a hookup competition. We all know this is going to be interesting.

Fear the Flames – Olivia Rose Darling

Fear the Flames was an indie romantasy, but has now been picked up by a publisher. Reluctant allies to lovers and an exiled princess as a main character? Sounds like something I’ll love! I was so excited when I received an email from the publisher asking if I wanted to read this.

A Fire in the Sky – Sophie Jordan

It seems like September is going to be a romantasy month! A Fire in the Sky is another one I was so excited about when the publisher emailed me. Dragons, romance, and drama? Yes, please!

Casket Case – Lauren Evans

We’re nearing spooky season, and even though I don’t like spooky, I do love funny spooky? Casket Case is about our main character who goes home to run her family’s casket business and ends up falling for someone who works for Death? I have a feeling this is going to be a lot of fun.

A Jingle Bell Mingle – Julie Murphy & Sierra Simone

A Jingle Bell Mingle is the third book in the A Christmas Notch series that I’ve been loving. I’m a big Christmas fan and these spicy romances are so much fun. I’m not sure if this is the final book, but I hope we continue to get more in this world.

Physical Books/Backlist

Ink Blood Sister Scribe – Emma Torzs

Why I still haven’t read this one is a questions I don’t have the answer to. I mean Ink Blood Sister Scribe has two things I love to read about: a library and magical books! Add in some family secrets and I’m sold. On top of that, I have a floppy paperback. It doesn’t get better than that.

Charm – Tracy Wolff

I really enjoyed the first four books of the Crave series and I really need to read the final two books. I mean, I even own the first book to the spinoff series. We’re heading to the cozy season and that means more time for fantasy books for me!

My Dark Romeo – Parker S. Huntington & L.J. Shen

I’ve been wanting to read this reluctant arranged marriage romance. A few readers I know loved My Dark Romeo and it’s my turn to give it a go. I bought the second book in this series earlier this year and I’m trying to catch up on series on my shelves.

So that’s my September TBR! I know I’ll be reading more, but I’ve been loving having the option to mood read. It’s been great for my reading. What are you planning to read in September? Any releases you’re excited about? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
