So in April I did a post where my TBR cards chose my next 4 reads. I just looked at that post and I’ve only read one of them so far, haha. I thought it would be fun to do this again, but choose some of my eARCs this time. I’m trying to increase my Netgalley ratio, so this is a fun way to get some of them read. Keep on reading to see what cards and books are picked!
Read an LGBTQ+ book
Make My Wish Come True – Rachael Lippincott & Alyson Derrick
I’m a happy reader if I get Christmassy books. Make My Wish Come True is described as a Netflix-esque Christmas movie and it seems we get some type of fake dating? Make My Wish Come True releases in October, but I’ll definitely be reading it before then.
Read a thick book with 500+ pages
All Rhodes Lead Here – Mariana Zapata
I’ve been saying I’ll read a book by Mariana Zapata for a few years now and it still hasn’t happened. Having one from Netgalley is definitely a good motivation and All Rhodes Lead Here is one I keep hearing great things about. This book is a little over 600 pages, so definitely fits this prompt.
Read a book with the title in a blue font on the cover
Nothing Like the Movies – Lynn Painter
Nothing Like the Movies is one of my most anticipated releases of the last half of 2024. Better than the Movies is a book I loved as an eARC and I listened to the audiobook. Last month I also bought the paperback to annotate during my reread before starting my eARC of Nothing Like the Movies. I have a feeling this will be a five star read.
Read a book about a character on a journey
Curious Tides – Pacale Lacelle
Curious Tides seems like the perfect fall read. This is a dark academia fantasy about a teenager who is trying to find out the truth behind a secret society that seems to be behind the death of some of her classmates. I will also be able to add this one to my list of big books when reading it.
Read a book that uses a character’s name in the title
Emily Wilde’s Map of the Otherlands – Heather Fawcett
Sometimes I’m just in the mood for a cozy fantasy and I got that from Emily Wilde’s Encyclopaedia of Faeries. So I was really excited when the second book was announced. I’m actually really surprised I haven’t read this one yet.
So here are my next 5 eARCs on my TBR! I’m excited about all of these and I hope I love them all as much as I think I will! Have you read the ones already published? Or are any of these on your TBR? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
I hope you enjoy these!
