Wishlist Wednesday| Most Anticipated July 2024 Releases

With a few days left in June it’s time to take a look at what books July is going to bring. Last month there were quite a few romance releases and it’ll be interested to see what we get next. Keep on reading to see our most anticipated July 2024 releases.

Dishonestly Yours – Krista & Becca Ritchie (July 2nd)

I’m currently reading the Addicted series and really enjoying it. This is a ten book series I believe, so it’s going to take me a bit to catch up. Dishonestly Yours is the start of a new series by this author duo that has caught my eye. I have a feeling this is going to me a messy and an emotional romance, but I’m here for it.

The Love of My Afterlife – Kirsty Greenwood (July 2nd)

The concept of meeting “the one” in afterlife’s waiting room and getting a second chance at life if you can find them in ten days is an interesting one. I can say that I haven’t read a book like this one and I’m very intrigued.

The Darkness Within Us – Tricia Levenseller (July 9th)

This is a companion novel to The Shadows Between Us and it’s about Alessandra’s sister Chrysantha. It’s sounds like there’s more to Chrysantha than meets the eye and I for one can’t wait to find that all out!

The Game Changer – Lana Ferguson (July 9th)

Lana Ferguson has written a couple of books already that I’ve really enjoyed, so when I heard about The Game Changer I was excited. A hockey player and a baker? Yes, please! I love the idea of them both trying to get positive publicity things are probably going to get messy!

The Spellshop – Sarah Beth Durst (July 9th)

This is supposed to be a cosy mystery fantasy romance, and I guess that’s all I never knew I wanted. It sounds like it will be super cute and I’ve seen nothing my positive early reviews so far.

Until Next Summer – Ali Brady (July 9th)

For some reason “adult summer camp” seems to be a trend in romances the last couple of years and I’m not complaining. This also seems to be a bit of a friends to lovers romance? Until Next Summer sounds like the perfect read for this time of year.

The Ex Vows – Jessica Joyce (July 16th)

You, with a View was one of my favorites of the year when it released and I’ve been anxiously awaiting for The Ex Vows to release. Estranged exes must come together to save their best friends’ wedding. We all know feelings are going to resurface and I can’t wait.

Not Another Love Song – Julie Soto (July 16th)

A rivals to lovers romance between two string players? Another concept I haven’t read yet, but I’ll definitely read it! Julie Soto released Forget Me Not last year and I remember seeing a lot of positive reviews and I still haven’t gotten to that one. Maybe I’ll just have to read these back to back.

The Ornithologist’s Field Guide to Love – India Holton (July 23rd)

This is described as Indiana Jones but with manners, tea and helicopter parasols. Sounds good to me! It also has a competition, and while I don’t care about birds I do care about competitions.

Long Live Evil – Sarah Rees Brennan (July 30th)

The cover says ‘it’t time for your villain era’ and the synopsis starts with ‘a tale for everyone who’s ever fallen for the villain’. And to be honest, that’s all I needed to know haha. It’s an adult fantasy and it sounds like anything I could ever wish for.

Such Charming Liars – Karen M. McManus (July 30th)

I really enjoyed a lot of Karen McManus’ books but I have been a bit disappointed by the later ones. They all seemed to follow pretty much the same storylines with the same character developments. But, this newest release sounds like it will be something different! And something right up my alley ;).

The Grandest Game – Jennifer Lynn Barnes (July 30th)

I love Jennifer Lynn Barnes and I love the Inheritance Games series, so of course I can’t wait for this one. This will be a new story in this world with both familiar and new characters. I’m super excited for it!

So those are the July releases that caught our attention! Are you looking forward to any of these? Or did we miss any you think we need to know about? Let us know in the comments. We’d love to hear from you.
