We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is .. but I wanted to do the New-to-Me Authors I Read in 2020 prompt from last week. That topic fits me so much better and I love talking about new authors I enjoyed. So let’s jump in!
1.Margaret Rogerson
I finally picked up a Margaret Rogerson book and I really enjoyed it. While I don’t think it made it to my favourite list of the year, I do want to read more books by this author!
2. Sandhya Menon
I wasn’t sure if I would add Sandhya to my list. The first book of hers I read was a pretty big disappointment, but the second one I enjoyed more than I thought I would. Since I do plan on picking up at least one more book by Sandhya I figured it would be fitting to add her to the list!
3. Sylvain Neuvel
I had multiple Sylvain Neuvel books on my TBR and I finally read on in 2020. And that was The Test. What an amazing read! I planned on picking up another book by this author soon after but I haven’t yet… Oops. While do so this year! Or at least I plan on.
4. Courtney Summers
Sadie has been on my TBR forever, and I finally read it. I listened to the audiobook and I’m so happy I did. The audiobook was incredible. And you can bet I will pick up another Courtney Summers book! Probably The Project.
5. Leah Johnson
One of my favourite reads of 2020 was You Should See Me In A Crown and I can’t wait to see what Leah read next. This was such a cute and fun read and I read it super quick. I just loved it a lot!
6. Nora Sakavic
I couldn’t not add this author to the list haha. For years I wanted to read The Foxhole Court and once I finally picked it up I also read the rest of the series in no time haha. This might not be the best written series out there and yes it has it’s problems, but oh my was it addictive. I just loved it so so much! The author did write another book and while it doesn’t completely appeal to me I might try it.
7. Holly Jackson
It would be hard to miss but Candyce and I finally picked up A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder and it’s sequel. And I loved both a lot! Holly wrote super fast, addictive mysteries and I’m already highly anticipating the next book in the series.
8. Brittney Morris
Brittney wrote one of my absolute favourite books of the year. I still can’t get over this book! It was impossible to put down and I definitely cried at some scenes. I already added Brittney’s next book to my wishlist and I will for sure follow this author for more!
9. P. Djèli Clark
This was probably my biggest surprise of the year. I came across P. Djèli Clark’s work through Tor.com and I’m super glad about it. That an author can make such an impact in such a short story is incredible. I can’t wait for the full length novel in the world I read and I hope to pick up more books by this author.
10. Teri Bailey Black
I was so happy to read Teri Bailey’s Black historical mystery that was released this year. While I still hate that cover haha, I did really enjoy the book. And I once again realised I really enjoy historical fiction. So I need to read more of those, and more by this author!

I loved A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder, I’m planning on reading the sequel this year! Sorcery of Thorns is still on my TBR, I’ve been meaning to read it for ages, so hopefully this year is the year.
