Tag| The Spotify Book Tag

It’s Thursday and tag time! I was looking for a tag and stumbled upon The Spotify Tag on Chiara’s blog Bookworms Anonymous. The Spotify Tag was originally created by Book Hooked Nook. I’ve been listening to Spotify a lot lately when wanting to listen to music, so I thought it would be a fitting tag! Let’s take a look!

Hit Rewind: a book you go back to again and again?

I’ve been letting myself reread more books than I normally do and I’ve been loving it. An author I love to revisit is Jennifer L. Armentrout. I recently started rereading the Wicked trilogy and am loving it all over again!

Romantic Ballads: a book that gives you all those fluttery feels?

That Swoony Feeling by Meghan Quinn really makes you swoon. I got all the fluttery feels and couldn’t stop smiling while reading this book. This author really knows how to make you love her characters and hope they get their happily ever after.

Release Radar: a new release book you are excited for?

September is packed with a lot of books I really want and hope to read soon. One of those books is Recommended for You! I love books that take place in bookstores and having two characters compete for best bookseller sounds like my kind of book. Add a touch of romance and I’m a happy reader.

Alone Again: your fave book genre to read on your own?

I don’t mind reading any genre on my own to be honest. My go to genres are contemporary, romance and fantasy. I’m slowly starting to read other genres and I’m enjoying stepping outside of my comfort zone!

Alternative: an indie book or author everyone should read!

There are so many I can think of for this prompt. I’ve read so many amazing indie authors and they’re all so good. LJ Evans is an author I’ll recommend today. She writes some really special books and mixes music into her stories. If you haven’t read anything by her, please do! Her books are amazing!

Cheesy Hit: a book full of cheese that you just love?

Camp is one of my favorite books this year. It dealt with a lot of serious subjects, but the romance in it was everything I wanted. I think I’ll be revisiting this book again soon.

Summer Hits: a book you reread every summer?

I don’t really have a book I reread every single summer, but after rereading Red, White and Royal Blue a couple of months ago I think I’ll be revisiting that one. It’s become one of my favorite books and I don’t think I can get sick of it.

Power Hour: an empowering feminist book or character you adore?

I’ve talked about The Exact Opposite of Okay a lot on the blog and I’m finally reading the sequel. Izzy O’Neill is such an empowering character. She can be sarcastic and insecure, but can get so angry when someone isn’t treated right. After the scandal in the first book, she’s back trying to fight so other girls won’t have to deal with what she did!

All Out 10s: list ten banging books!

2020 may be a weird year in the world, but it’s been a really good reading year for me. I’m not going to talk about all ten of these books, because my tag would become a book, haha. The ten books here are books that I’ve really loved and think everyone should read. If you can click on the title, it will take you to my review.

The Diviners – Libba Bray
Every Heart a Doorway – Seanan McGuire
Thorn – Intisar Khanani
Slay – Brittney Morris
The How and the Why – Cynthia Hand
The Henna Wars – Adiba Jaigirdar
Spin the Dawn – Elizabeth Lim
Warrior Blue – Kelsey Kingsley
The Falling in Love Montage – Ciara Smyth
Avenged by Love – LJ Evans

So that’s my Spotify tag! I’m not going to tag anyone, but feel free to tag yourself if you like this tag. I’d love to see your answers if you do! What author do you think everyone needs to read? Let me know in the comments.
