We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is Books That Make Me Hungry. I never really have that feeling while reading to I decided to slightly adjust the prompt to my taste ;). So today I have 10 books (series) that made me hungry for more!
1.Sorcery of Thorns – Margaret Rogerson
This was a satisfying stand-alone but that ending left me craving a sequel or companion novel. Candyce and I buddy read and reviewed this one and were both very pleased.
2.Eliza and her Monsters – Francesca Zappia
I adored Eliza and Her Monsters. This was such a surprising favorite for me but I’m so glad I picked it up. The webcomic Eliza creates was very interesting and I would love to get the whole thing! Please just upload it to Webtoon Francesca!
3.Monsters of Verity duology – Victoria Schwab
Victoria is one of my favorite writers and I could’ve picked basically any of her series for this list. I really liked this duology but that ending! I need more in this world. The characters were written so well but I wouldn’t mind different characters as long as I get answers!
4.All for the Game series – Nora Sakavic
Are you over me gushing about All For the Game yet? This is a guilty pleasure but it was amazing haha. I really wouldn’t mind another book or even a couple more books. But at least give us a Netflix adaption!
5.10 Blind Dates – Ashley Elston
This was such a cute story and I would’ve loved to read more about all the dates and see more of the family! I really liked this big family, the holiday vibe is also very strong. Luckily we get a companion novel so I’m happy.
6.The Fixer series – Jennifer Lynn Barnes
Jennifer Lynn Barnes is one of my favorite authors ever and I need ore books by her in general. That being said, I don’t believe there’s a single person who wouldn’t want another novel after reading The Long Game. That second book ended on such a cliffhanger and I’m very bitter about the whole ordeal haha. You can’t convince me this was supposed to be a duology and I will hope for a sequel until the very end haha.
7.Blackbird – Sam Humphries & Jen Bartel
I can’t find if there’s going to be more volumes but I really hope so. I loved this first volume and need more! The story and the world were very interesting and I think there is a lot more than can me done with both. Also gorgeous art so I would get the next volume just for that.
8.The Seven and a Half Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle – Stuart Turton
This is a wonderful mystery with a great concept and I loved the ending. I think this is one of my favorite murder mysteries out there. I would love another book in this world so so much!
9.To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before trilogy – Jenny Han
I picture a Lara Jean: The College Years spin off and I’m sure everyone would throw their money at it haha. Okay maybe it’s just me but I love LJ and would love to see her experience university. As soon as I finished Always and Forever Lara Jean this idea popped into my head and it never really left my mind haha.
10.Spell on Wheels – Kate Leth, Megan Levens & Marissa Louise
This was a stand alone graphic novel and it went by way to fast. I would love more in this world, with these characters and from this artist. The story could’ve been developed a lot more of it was longer. But I just found out there will be a second volume! It will be released in December. I’m super excited for it!
These are 10 books or book series that made me hungry for more. Any good book makes me want to get the next in the series or gets my hopes up for a companion novel. But these 10 are on the top of that list! Have you read any of them? And what book made you hungry for more? Tell me about it in the comments!
