TTT #131| 5 Star Predictions

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Things I’d Have at My Bookish Party. I’m just not feeling this topic, so I decided to do another post about 5 star predictions. I’ll stick to upcoming releases or newer releases I expect to love! Let’s take a look.

House of Dragons – Jessica Cluess The cover is what caught my attention at first when this book started getting promoted. I love when royalty is a part of the story, but more so when characters have to compete for the crown.

Take a Hint, Dani Brown – Talia Hibbert A good romantic comedy always makes me really happy. Get a Life, Chloe Brown (the first book in this series) was so much fun and I’m expecting this sequel to be just as good!

My Calamity Jane – Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton & Jodi Meadows This is one of my most anticipated 2020 releases! These three authors know how to give history a twist and make you laugh out loud. I can’t wait to see how they made this part of history theirs.

Aurora Burning – Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff As I’m typing this, I’m about to finish the last few chapters of Aurora Risiing. These authors write amazing books together and I love all of the sarcasm. On top of that, the twists and turns are unexpected.

Hunting November – Adriana Mather Killing November took me by surprise and was a lot better than I expected. I’ve been anxiously awaiting the sequel and it’s almost here. I think if this goes how I expect it will, I’ll be one happy reader.

Last Girls – Demetra Brodsky Dive Smack is a favorite of mine and when I read about Last Girls I was sold. Our main characters grow up learning that you don’t know when the world will end and you need to be prepared. I can’t wait to see how this book plays out.

The Mall – Megan McCafferty I grew up in the ’90s, so when I read an author planned on writing a book in that time I was sold. One thing I miss about living in the States are the malls, so I hope this lives up to my expectations.

You Say it First – Katie Cotugno If this book is just as cute as its cover, I know You Say it First will be a 5 star read. I love meet cutes and I have a feeling this one will be interesting. Hopefully we read text messages and/or e-mails between our characters as well.

Four Days of You and Me – Miranda Kenneally Books that follow a couple’s love story over a few years is something that sounds really interesting. I was really afraid only reading about one day of their lives wouldn’t give me enough, but a friend just finished an ARC and said it was done really well.

East Coast Girls – Kerry Kletter I’ve been waiting for this author to release a new book after reading The First Time She Drowned. That book sucked me in from the start and I have a feeling East Coast Girls will do the same!

So here are ten books releasing soon that I think will be 5 star reads when I pick them up. What books do you think will be 5 star reads for you? Let me know in the comments! Also, feel free to leave your TTT link for this week in the comments. I’d love to check them out!

  1. I love the cover to House of Dragons. I’m not sure if I’ll be reading any of these any time soon (so many books, so little time!) but I hope you like these!
