If you’ve been following us for a little while, you’ll know I’m a big fan of romance novels. It’s a genre I disocvered and haven’t stopped reading since I did. Last week I saw a post on In Love & Words. Bree posted about the top 100 romance novels on Goodreads and told us what she’s read so far. I was curious to see where I stand, so let’s take a look! A big thanks to Bree for this fun idea.
After going through the list, I can say I’ve read a total of 9 of these books. Looking through the list there are a lot I don’t know and a few I’ve definitely seen and eventually want to read! Click here to see the full list of 100 romance books that Goodreads posted.
Archer’s Voice – Mia Sheridan
5 stars
I remember reading this and how special I thought it was! If you’re looking for a romance that takes you on an emotional rollercoaster, this is one you need! Both of our characters have things in their past they need to deal with and that’s not easy.
Bared to You – Sylvia Day
3 stars
Bared to You is a book I picked up after reading Fifty Shades of Grey. It’s the same type of story and at the time I flew through this book. After all the romance I’ve read since then, I don’t know if I’d still appreciate it as much as I did then!
Maybe Someday – Colleen Hoover
5 stars
Colleen Hoover always knows how to hit you in all the feels and Maybe Someday did that as well. This book combined with the music made for it is so special. I can’t say too much without spoiling the story, but believe me when I say you need to listen to the music while reading!
Me Before You – JoJo Meyes
5 stars
I’m definitely an emotional reader and this book had me crying so much while reading! While reading Me Before You, I became so invested in these characters. Also, I’m normally really careful when it comes to watching movie adaptations, but this one stuck so close to the book!
Memoirs of a Geisha – Arthur Golden
5 stars
If I’m completely honest, it’s been so long since I read this that I don’t remember a lot of details. I know that a good friend of mine gifted me this book. Memoirs of a Geisha is a very powerful book and I really think I need to do a reread someday!
The Rosie Project – Graeme Simsion
5 stars
The Rosie Project is definitely a feel good romance that had me laughing out loud a lot! I couldn’t put it down and really came to love Don and Rosie. Writing this post also made me realize I need to read the third book soon.
Slammed – Colleen Hoover
5 stars
As I said before, Colleen Hoover always gives us really emotional stories. Slammed is still one of my favorite trilogies! This isn’t just a romance, but also focuses a lot on family, grief and moving on.
Ten Tiny Breaths – K.A. Tucker
5 stars
I love when romances are more than just the relationship that develops along the way. Our main character here is so strong and has had to deal with way too much in her life. She’s so strong and her little sister is her one and only priority. This is such an amazing book and I really need to read the rest of the series.
Wait for You – Jennifer L Armentrout
5 stars
Jennifer L. Armentrout is one of my favorite authors and I love that she writes so many different thigns! Besides fantasy and thrillers she also gives us contemporary and romance. Wait for You is such a fun story! I still love Cam and Avery and it’s been quite awhile since I’ve read this story.
So these are the 9 books onthe top 100 romnce books I’ve read. Have you read any of the books onthe list? Let me know inthe comments!
I have read 18 on the list.
