The Cruel trilogy was pitched as Cruel Intentions meets Gossip Girl and I was sold from the start. I’ve previously read and reviewed One Cruel Night (the prequel), Cruel Money and Cruel Fortune. Each one has left me wanting more! Today the final installment, Cruel Legacy, is out in the world.
A big thanks to the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions for providing me an ARC to read and review. Keep reading to find out what I thought of Cruel Legacy!

I have turned into their worst nightmares.
And I will not rest until they pay.
For everything.
Cruel Legacy is the final book in this trilogy and the end op Natalie and Penn’s story! The ending of Cruel Fortune left me wanting more and to know how the characters would continue after the events we read at the end of that book. With this being the third book, I can’t go into too much detail without any spoilers, but I will talk about this book a bit more!
After everything that has happened to Natalie, she’s ready for revenge. I’m not really the type that says go for revenge, but I definitely understand her motives. It was really interesting to see her dive back into this world of secrets, games, drama and lots of twist and turns, It was actually pretty scary how this world works. Natalie goes through quite the journey as well and really starts to understanding this world and the Crew. At times I wondered if she really understood, but when certain incidents had consequences it was clear she started understanding how everything worked.
Penn has been a character filled with ups and downs. I’ve loved him from the start, but he definitely has some flaws. He would do anything to get out of the Upper East side, but once you’re in there’s not a big chance to get back out. Penn finally starts understanding why Natalie has a hard time with certain aspects of the world and his behavior at times. I loved how sensitive Penn started becoming of that.
Penn and Natalie have had their ups and downs during these books. I think this was my favorite when it came to their love story. It was interesting to see them trying to trust and open up again while playing the game the Upper East Side has going. There’s a lot more to both of them and it was nice seeing other sides of them together.
I’m still amazed by how many twists and turns this trilogy had and all the secrets. It felt like a house of cards that could collapse at any time. I loved the drama and the characters. Everything fit so well together and it was fun watching how everything ended up working out. In many ways I’m sad this is the end, because K.A. Linde really made me love this world. I hope she gives us more in this type of setting!

Only one problem: I lost my muse.
He was tall, dark, and handsome. Broody, enigmatic, alluring, and right for me in every way.
Until he wasn’t. Until I lost everything.
And I can’t lose it all again. I’ll do anything to keep it.
Even seeing him again…
