Wishlist Wednesday | Manga

It’s been a while since I did a ‘themed’ Wishlist Wednesday and I thought it would be fun to look at some of the manga on my wishlist. Lately I have been really into manga and have enjoyed reading a couple. I also started watching some manga youtubers and added quite some to my wishlist! So let’s take a look at that wishlist.

Fairy Tail – Hiro Mashima

I believe this is a pretty classic and well-loved manga series. There are currently 63 (!) volumes so this would be quite the commitment haha. This fantasy series sounds wonderful and I think it would be a fun and quick read.

Komi Can’t Communicate – Tomohito Oda

Komi is awkward and wants to make a 100 friends. This sounds really cute and possibly way too relatable. There are already 13 volumes out in Japan but we only have the first one so far. So this is the perfect moment to jump in.

Tokyo Tarareba Girls – Akiko Higashimura

This one sounds hilarious! Although it might also be a very disappointing one, I think it will be fun. We follow three 30-somethings who want to get married before the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. I haven’t read any manga with main characters in this age range so it will be interesting to try one.

Overlord – Kugane Maruyama

My brother watched the anime and loved it a lot. So on his recommendation I put this on my wishlist. It sounds super interesting. Our main character stay logged in to his favorite game after it shuts down and he gets trapped. I really enjoy stories that involve gaming and I can’t wait to pick this one up.

Witch Hat Atelier – Kamome Shirahama

How cute does that cover look? I love the vibe this cover gives and I think I will absolutely love this story. A regular girl tries to become a magician, and wouldn’t we all love to get that chance? I’m so excited for this one!

Everyone’s Getting Married – Izumi Miyazomo

This is another mature manga. I’m not sure how I’ll feel about this one as it’s a romance and that’s not my preferred genre. BUT, it sounds like it will be a lot of fun and I’m all for it. The reviews are pretty good and have me hopeful. This isn’t the highest on my wishlist but if I can get it for a good price, I definitely will.

Have you read any of these manga? Or are they on your wishlist? And do you have any recommendations? Let me know in the comments!
