Title: The Hashtag Hunt
Author: Kristina Seek
Genre: Contemporary Romance
About The Hashtag Hunt:
The only reason Lauren entered the Hashtag Hunt was for the $10,000 grand prize. She needed seed money for her startup, and it sounded easy enough: twelve hours to text twelve photos to someone called the Wizard. For hashtag number five, Lauren needs a #HottieInTheWild, and with the help of her best friend, Ivy, she finds the perfect subject.
The only reason Brenner entered Barkley’s Pub was to have beers with Scott, an Army brother back in town. The reunion is interrupted when a woman is caught crouched in a dark corner, taking pictures of Brenner. Lauren explains, and though embarrassed, she accepts Scott and Brenner’s offer to help with hashtag number six.
While hunting for hashtags, Lauren finds adventure and romance with her #Hottie, but she must stay focused to beat the clock and win the cash.

Review
The Hashtag Hunt is such a cute romance! I couldn’t put it down and read it in one sitting. I have never read a book with a scavenger hunt or a contest like this, so I was really curious to see how it all played out.
Lauren has a dream to open Paperback Vinyl. She is determined to do this on her own, so when the hashtag hunt starts, she knows she needs to participate! I loved how passionate she is to get what she needs to follow her dream. To take these pictures you need to think fast and act, which she seems really capable of doing.
Brenner is still trying to find his way after his last deployment and wasn’t even supposed to be in the bar that Lauren was in. Scotty, his best friend, wanted to go for drinks and after everything he can’t turn him down. I think Brenner was one of my favorite characters. It’s clear a lot happened when he was deployed and he’s figuring it out, but Lauren was just what he needed. Someone who doesn’t know everything he’s been through and maybe even thinks he’s hot, haha.
On top of Brenner and Lauren, Scotty and Ivy are big parts of this story. They’re the perfect best friends and I loved the two of them flirting with each other. I’m not a fan of insta-love, but with them it just seemed natural. The teasing, flirting and wanting to get to know the other felt so genuine. The same with the connection between Brenner and Lauren. It felt like they met just at the right time.
It was also fun to have romance that wasn’t all steamy, but really took its time and was just cute. That being said, after The Hashtag Hunt, I really need more of these characters! I loved the ending, but after really coming to love this group of characters, I need to know more!
