Yesterday I wasn’t feeling all that well, so I decided to curl up on the couch with Netflix. I recently saw that there was a new movie (I know, this is Show Sunday, haha), Isn’t It Romantic. I love romantic comedies and they always cheer me up. If you want to know what I thought of this movie, keep on reading!
New York City architect Natalie works hard to get noticed at her job but is more likely to be asked to deliver coffee and bagels than to design the city’s next skyscraper. And if things weren’t bad enough, Natalie, a lifelong cynic when it comes to love, has an encounter with a mugger that renders her unconscious, waking to discover that her life has suddenly become her worst nightmare — a romantic comedy — and she is the leading lady.
Isn’t It Romantic was the perfect movie to cheer me up while I wasn’t feeling well. It really takes all the things we know and love from romantic comedies and did that times ten. Everything was way over the top, but so much fun!
The cast is great and had some pretty big names. I think they all played their parts well and I can’t imagine it wasn’t fun filming this movie. Just like with a romantic comedy we all get the ending we know and love! Add an amazing soundtrack and you’ll be entertained for an hour and a half!
Even though it had all the cliché elements that movies normally have, I loved that the message was that you need to love yourself first. I think even though it’s a “simple” movie, this message is very important! If you’re looking for a cute movie that leaves a smile on your face, definitely watch Isn’t It Romantic.
If any of you are fans of romantic comedies like I am, please leave your favorites in the comments! I love discovering movies I haven’t seen yet!
