It’s finally time for me to say I almost have some vacation time! I’ve had a week here and there, but now I have almost four weeks off. We have some fun things planned and other things I have to deal with, but I’m hoping for lots of reading time. There are some books I’ve been wanting to read for quite some time that I’m hoping to finally get to. So here are some books I want to read during my vacation.

When the Moon Hatched – Sarah A. Parker
When the Moon Hatched has been on my shelves for almost two years. I will say I’ve kind of been hesitant to read this one. People seem to love it or hate it and while I love forming my own opinion, it does take me a bit longer to pick up books like that. The sequel just released, so if I do love it, I won’t have to wait long to read the next book.

Innamorta – Ava Reid
This season seems like the perfect time to pick up Innamorta. I knew this was a gothic story, but I wasn’t expecting it to be horror. There are a few people I know that were some darker things in this one that weren’t expected. Innamorta seems like a book that wants to make readers uncomfortable and I’m very intrigued.

The Crown of Gilded Bones – Jennifer L. Armentrout
I really enjoyed the first two books in this series, but I think I’ve been put off of The Crown of Gilded Bones by so many people saying that they don’t love this book. Jennifer L. Armentrout has been one of my favorite authors for quite a few years, but since she just focused on this series I don’t think I’ve really read anything by her. It’s time I continue this series.

Chain of Gold – Cassandra Clare
The Shadowhunters world is one I’ve been reading for I think over 10 years now and the first book in the final trilogy is releasing near the end of the year. I haven’t started The Last Hours trilogy yet. The Infernal Devices is my favorites series set in this world, so I’m excited for this spinoff. I want to have this read before The Last King of Faerie is in my hands.
So here are four books that I’d love to finally read when I’m off of work. They’re all over 500 pages, so I’ll keep it to this little list. Who knows if I’ll actually read them, but I want to give it a try! Have you read any of these? Or which one should I start with? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you!
