It’s almost fall and I love how the weather seems to be changing here in the Netherlands. We’ve had a lot of rain recently and it is slowly getting darker earlier and earlier. I’m very much ready for fall, with my cosy sweaters, candles and blankets. A monthly TBR never works for me, but maybe a seasonal one will. I will focus on books I already own, but I will also be reading some new releases ;). Let’s jump in!
Apprentice to the Villain – Hannah Nicole Meahrer
I’ve said it before and I will say it again, I really enjoyed the first book in this series and I have high hopes for this second book. We got a good twist and cliffhanger at the end and I have been excited to dive into this one ever since. I think this is a great book to read during fall bundled up on the couch.
Witch Hat Atelier vol. 5&6 – Kamome Shirahama
I love reading manga and since this is about witches it automatically feels perfect for fall. These also have beautiful art and I’m super excited to dive back into this story. It’s not super fast paced, but I was definitely intrigued and I’m curious to see how the story will develop.
Katabasis – R.F. Kuang
Academic rivals who are making a descent into Hell? Sounds like an October read to me! I have really liked all the R.F. Kuang books I’ve read so far and I’m excited to read another one. There is magic in this book and I always enjoy experiencing a new magic system.
Legends & Lattes – Travis Baldree
A cosy fantasy is sometimes just what you need in the fall. I think this one is perfect for a sunny fall day, maybe even when I can sit in my garden with a cosy fall outfit on enjoying the sun. A pumpkin spiced latte and a baked good in hand and I will be extremely content!
The Inn at the Foot of Mount Vengeance – Chiara Bullen
My most recent book purchase! I read the first chapter and I really liked it. The atmosphere in this book seems like a great fit to read during the fall. It would also be nice to read the book I bought pretty soon after that purchase haha.
