WWW Wednesday #116

It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!

So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What did you recently finish reading?

The Hero of Ages – Brandon Sanderson

I started the first Mistborn book in 2020, but I finally finished the third and final book in this trilogy. The Hero of Ages isn’t tiny, but it’s worth all of the pages. There were some twists I wasn’t expecting and Sanderson isn’t sweet to his characters at all. I’ll definitely be continuing with the Cosmere books.

Yesteryear – Caro Claire Burke

Yesteryear is a book I keep seeing everywhere since it released. I will say it’s normally not my kind of book, but I wanted to know what everyone was talking about. When I sat down with this book I was actually hooked from the start. The writing is easy to read and it was also kind of like a trainwreck. You just can’t stop watching. I can honestly say, I never saw that ending coming.

What are you currently reading?

Sinister – Veronica Lancet

Fairydale is a book I’ve been really curious about, but haven’t picked up yet. Sinister is her next book being released in August and it sounded dark and intense, so I wanted it! I was approved for an eARC and I’ve read about 20%. At the moment I’m still confused and have no clue where it’s going. I’m intrigued though! I need to know how these two timelines will come together.

Cubs & Campfires – Dylan Drakes

A few people in my Discord book club read Cubs & Campfires recently and it sounded really cute. This is a cozy and very spicy romance. Both of our main characters are really sweet and I love how body positive and sex positive this book is. I’m almost done with this book.

What do you think you’ll read next?

The Long Game – Rachel Reid

Earlier this year I binged the first five books in this series. The Long Game is the final book out at the moment and the next one releases next year. Part of me wanted to read this one right away, but I’ve also been savoring it. I love these hockey romances and I’m sad I’ll be caught up, haha.

Chase Me If You Can – Heather Frances

I’ve actually been watching quite a few storm chaser shows and I find it fascinating. So adding romance to the mix? Sign me up! I also love that our FMC is a wedding photographer. This seems to be the perfect time of year to read Chase Me If You Can.

So that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week! What have you been reading lately? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
