Wishlist Wednesday| Most Anticipated August 2026 Releases

We’re nearing the end of July, so it’s time to take a look at what the book world is giving us in August. What books are we looking forward to? Today we want to talk about our most anticipated August releases! Let’s take a look.

Adversary to the Villain – Hannah Nicole Maehrer (August 4th)

The fourth book in the hilarious Assistant to the Villain series! I laughed out loud multiple times reading these books and had so much fun. This isn’t the final book in the series just yet, so I’m curious what our cliffhanger will be this time around haha.

Steelborn – Taylor J. LaRue (August 4th)

This is the first book in a new romantasy series and it sounds great. It supposedly has a slow burn enemies to lovers and a ton of plot twists. I like that we have a thief and overall I’m just really curious about this one!

Levels of Love – Anabelle Stehl (August 4th)

So I’m not a gamer, but my fiancé is, and I enjoy watching him gaming. When I saw Levels of Love, I knew I needed to read  it. A rivals-to-lovers forced proximity romance set in the competitive gaming world sounds something like I need in my life!

Devour Me – Emily Rath (August 4th)

This has a wraith, a male witch and a human female all getting in a relationship together and it sounds fun and interesting! I also think this will definitely not be for everyone, but I for sure want to try it out.

Let’s Kiss and Tell – Joss Richard (August 11th)

I’ll be honest that I don’t know much about Let’s Kiss and Tell besides that it has fake dating and 90’s romcom nostalgia. Let’s Kiss and Tell sounds like a book I’ll love and I’ll be shocked if that’s not the case when I’m done.

Colt – Jessica Peterson (August 18th)

Even though I’ve only read Cash by this author, I just have this feeling that I need everything written by Jessica Peterson. Just the cover of Colt has me intrigued. Colt is the start of a new cowboy romance series that I know is going to make me want to live in this town with all of its characters.

Immortal Rose – Alexandra Bracken (August 18th)

This is the first book in an adult fantasy duology and it’s set in a world ruled by magical perfume. How cool does that sound? We also get a secret, illegitimate heir and I can appreciate that trope. Alexandra Bracken wrote one of my favorite YA dystopian series, so I’m curious to see how she does with an adult fantasy.

The Silent Appeal – Janice Hallett (August 25th)

The Appeal is a book I loved because the way it was told! We get emails, text messages, etc. Mixed media in books is something I always love. I’m actually surprised that we’re getting a sequel to this book, but I’m here for it! Will I be able to solve it before all is revealed?

So here are some of our most anticipated August releases! Do we have any common? Are there any we’re missing that you think we need to have on our radar? Let us know in the comments. We’d love to hear from you!
